This year’s Academy Awards will not have a host — again.

The Academy confirmed the news in a tweet confirming that the ceremony will have stars, performances and surprises, but no host.

“Together with the Academy we have decided there will be no traditional host again this year, repeating what worked for us last year: huge entertainment value, big musical numbers, big comedy, and star power,” ABC President Karey Burke announced at the 2020 Television Critics Association press tour on Wednesday. “Voting just closed last night and nominations will be announced on Monday.”

This is the second year the annual awards ceremony will go hostless. Last year was the first time in 30 years that the Oscars had no host after Kevin Hart stepped down from the gig.

The 92nd Academy Awards air Sunday, February 9 on ABC.
