Apple TV Plus has confirmed that it will not be ordering a second season of the series that was created by and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. 

Set in the present day, the show followed The Trial of the Chicago 7 actor as a 5th-grade school teacher dealing with the daily challenges of life such as dating, anxiety, and the coronavirus pandemic. 

“From the beginning, I always wanted the show to feel what it’s like to be inside a person’s head,” Gordon-Levitt stated. 

Viewers remarked on the series’ relatability and it garnered a rating of 70% on Rotten Tomatoes

Despite the cancellation of Mr. Corman, Apple TV Plus will continue with JGL’s animated series Wolfboy and the Everything Factory.

Winfrey announced her first pick during a recent appearance on CBS This Morning and said she decided to go with The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates. The story centers on the evil of enslavement in America, and Oprah described it as one of the best books she ever read.

The Book Club revival is coming to Apple TV+ on November 1st when this streaming service officially launches. New episodes will be released once in two months, giving viewers enough time to read new titles being discussed.

“I am who I am today because of the experience of learning to read at an early age. Reading opened up a whole world for me beyond the red dirt road and my grandmother’s porch in Mississippi. I want to do that for everybody,” said Oprah Winfrey in a press release.

Cook also revealed the pricing for the service. A subscription will cost $4.99 per month, as opposed to a former prediction that talked about a $9.99 per month price tag. In addition, a free yearly subscription will be offered to anyone who’ll buy an Apple product, may it be an iPhone, an iPad, an Apple Watch or a Mac. New shows will be added monthly to the service.

With this low pricing and early release date – before Disney+ – Apple set itself as a force to be reckoned with in the streaming field, positioning itself as an attractive option against the other newcomer and older services such as Netflix or Amazon.

Apple also announced Apple Arcade – a gaming service which promises to take cellular gaming to the next level.

The new and highly anticipated show stars Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston, and Reese Witherspoon. The backdrop of the show is pretty much self-explanatory — the set and studio of a morning news program, which we now learn are in the middle of “an epic rebirth.”

The new clip sees the three A-listers go head to head exploring the internal strife and interpersonal drama co-anchors and a newcomer of a morning news show. 

Also starring are Mark Duplass and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

The series, which stars Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell and Reese Witherspoon in the leads is a “fictional look at the goings-on of early morning television.”

Aniston and Witherspoon play “two ambitious, aspirational female characters,” while Carell portrays Mitch Kessler, an anchor “struggling to maintain relevancy in the ever-changing media world.”

“Through the prism of those under-slept, over-adrenalized people in front of and behind the camera, we take an honest look at the complex relationships between women and men in the workplace, and we engage in the conversation people are a little too afraid to have unless they’re behind closed doors,” Aniston said.

The Morning Show is directed by Mimi Leder from a script penned by Kerry Ehrin from an original idea Michael Ellenberg. The series also stars Billy Crudup and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
