When it comes to the comedy and musical side, the list of contenders includes Cyrano, Don’t Look Up, Licorice Pizza, Tick Tick Boom, and West Side Story. Don’t Look Up and West Side Story are the main contenders in this field, with five nominations each.
The television side features many familiar faces, as many of the previous Emmy winners are in the running for top awards. Succession is leading the drama field with a total of five nominations, followed by Ted Lasso and The Morning Show with four each.
The Golden Globe nominations were announced by Snoop Dogg on Monday, while the ceremony is set to take place on January 9th, 2022.

]]>The coming-of-age drama about a young boy growing up in Belfast during the 60s was met with critical acclaim at TIFF and managed to beat tough competition to win the People’s Choice Award. Scarborough and The Power of the Dog were also in the running for this award and they were crowned as first and second runner-up.

When it comes to the rest of the major winners at TIFF, acting awards went to Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) and Benedict Cumberbatch (The Power of the Dog). Denis Villeneuve walked away with the director award for his work on the sci-fi epic Dune.
