]]>Multiple outlets confirm that Eichner has been cast in the next installment of Murphy’s American Crime Story.
ACS: Impeachment tells the story of the impeachment of President Bill Clinton following the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Eichner will star as Matt Drudge is best known for his Drudge Report, which first broke the news of the scandal.
Eichner joins previously announced Beanie Feldstein who will star as Monica Lewinsky, Clive Owen as Bill Clinton, Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, and Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones.
Impeachment will be written by Sarah Burgess who will also executive produce alongside Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brad Falchuk, Larry Karaszewski, Scott Alexander, Alexis Martin Woodall, Hannah Fidell, and Paulson.

]]>The 40-year-old comedian has teamed up with Nick Stoller and Judd Apatow on a new gay rom-com. The still untitled comedy will center around two men who have commitment problems and are attempting a relationship.
The still untitled project will be co-produced by Stoller under his Global Solutions banner and Judd Apatow’s Apatow Productions banner. Stoller will also direct from a screenplay co-written by himself and lead Eichner.
Eichner tweeted Tuesday “Excited, terrified, completely in shock and PROUD as hell to announce this movie. We’re making a big, new romantic comedy for Universal!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!”
Eichner is currently developing his first comedy special for Netflix. His other credits include American Horror Story, Friends from College and Emmy nominated Billy on the Street. His upcoming projects include voicing the character of Timon in Jon Favreau’s The Lion King and starring in Noelle opposite Anna Kendrick.
