Multiple outlets report that CBS has pulled the plug on the pilot, which was set to star Michael Urie and Becki Newton. Both Urie and Newton are best known for their roles on the hit series Ugly Betty.

Per Deadline,  FUN was described as a life-long love story between a brother and a sister, (Urie and Newton), who always encourage each other to have fun and celebrates life — in spite of the fact that the family business is a funeral home.

The multi-camera comedy pilot hailed from 2 Broke Girls‘ co-creator and executive producer Michael Patrick King and former Ugly Betty executive producers Tracy Poust and Jon Kinnally as well as Warner Bros TV. 

In addition to pulling its pilot production commitment for FUN, CBS is expected to make more decisions on pilots that have not been shot following the all-around production shut down due to the Coronavirus crisis.

CBS has decided to axe its atheist-finds-god series, starring Brandon Micheal Hall which means that the season two finale will now serve as the series finale. 

“We’re extremely proud of the unique concept and uplifting stories God Friended Me has told over the past two seasons,” CBS and WBTV said in a joint statement. “We thank the brilliant cast, writers, production team and crew for a show that stirred thoughtful conversation about faith, life and happiness, and made viewers feel good at the end of each episode. The creative team behind the show has one last ‘friend suggestion’ in mind, as well as an ending we hope brings a satisfying conclusion to Miles’ journey in search of the God Account.”

The cancelation of God Friended Me joins recently canceled CBS dramas Deputy and Almost Family.

The hour-long special featuring the husband-and-wife duo will be broadcast from their home studio known as Studio G.

The multi-camera series hails from Will & Grace creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan and Universal TV.

In the series, successful and fiercely independent crisis manager’s (Bowen) world is turned upside down when she decides to let someone into her life for the first time—an 11-year-old girl who she adopts and raises with the occasional help of her fragile, nervous wreck of a sister.

The critically acclaimed ABC comedy Modern Family is to conclude after 11 seasons on the network this April.

Hawaii Five-0 is coming to an end after ten seasons after 240 episodes.

Multiple outlets confirm that Oliver Hudson and Malin Akerman have been cast the CBS comedy pilot The Three of Us. The two are set to star as two of the comedy’s leads. 

The Three of Us hails from writer Frank Pines, Fulwell 73, and CBS TV Studios. It follows adult siblings who are children of divorce and must circle the wagons when their sister’s husband unexpectedly announces he wants to call it quits on their marriage.

Hudson and Akerman will play two of the three siblings — named Will and Ally respectively. Will is the worrier in the family who has always been protective of his little brother and sister, Akerman’s Ally. Clever and perceptive, he has a problematic need to help “father” everyone around him, so when his sister’s husband dumps her, his instincts kick in and moves her into his house.

Ally, the middle sibling, is smart and resilient. She is thought of as the most “normal” and sensible one in the family but also plagued with seriously bad luck. Her latest catastrophe is her husband just left her and she finds herself dealing with being a single mom to an 8-year-old son and having to move in with her big brother, Will, and his wife. 

Ben Winston, Jeff Grosvenor, and James Corden will executive produce The Three of Us, with CBS Television Studios producing.

Deadline exclusively reports that a new character is heading to CBS’ series Hawaii Five-0. Lance Gross is set to join the long-running drama as a guest star in the final two episodes of Season 10. 

According to the outlet, “Gross will play Lincoln Cole, a decorated war hero and ex-Marine Gunnery Sergeant with the Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team. Lincoln’s actions as an anonymous good Samaritan now have him in the cross-hairs of some very dangerous people, and McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and Five-0 are determined to protect him at all costs.”

Gross’ television credits include roles on Fox’s Star and Sleepy Hollow, CBS’ MacGyver and Amazon’s Too Old to Die Young.

The revival is reportedly in “very early development stages” at CBS. The new installment will mark the 20th anniversary of the highly successful franchise’s 2000 premiere. 

According to Deadline, which was first to report the news, the new installment hails from Elementary scribe Jason Tracey, CBS TV Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer TV. Set in Las Vegas, the new installment is set to be a sequel to original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. 

It is still unknown whether the original cast members will be featured in the new iteration. 

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation ran for 15 seasons and spanned the spinoffs CSI: Miami, CSI: New York and CSI: Cyber.

Star Dana Delany confirmed the news on Twitter writing, “Thank you to all you wonderful people who watched @TheCodeCBS. Last night was our finale and sadly, no more. I’ll never make General. But I loved this cast of stellar actors & know we’ll meet again. Semper Fidelis.”

“While I’m disappointed that I don’t get to continue this particular adventure with these stellar humans, I feel very grateful for, and proud of, the show we made,” co-star Luke Mitchell added. “Thank you so much to everyone who watched!!”

The Code followed soldiers who tackle the toughest legal challenges facing the U.S. Marine Corps.
