Comedy Central will air all six seasons of Schitt’s Creek starting October 2 with five episodes to air per week every Friday. Netflix already airs the first five seasons and the final season will be available on the platform on October 7.

Pop TV’s Schitt’s Creek premiered in January 2015 and it wrapped up the sixth and final season in April 2020. The show’s the second-most-watched show acquired by Netflix in March this year.

Schitt’s Creek stars creator Daniel Levy and his father Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, and Annie Murphy. The show’s about an affluent family who after losing everything they own has to live in a small-town motel.

Comedy Central has ordered two seasons of the reboot which also includes potential spin-offs and specials.

Judge, who wrote, produced, and voiced Beavis and Butt-Head will be doing the same for the new series. The original series premiered in 1993 on MTV and this will be the second time Beavis and Butt-Head was brought back to television—after it ended in 1997 after seven seasons, MTV gave it an eighth season in 2011.

In 1996, Paramount Pictures released the film Beavis & Butt-Head Do America and the spinoff Daria, which featured the series’ character Daria Morgendorffer, aired on MTV for five seasons.

According to Comedy Central, the series will have the duo “entering a whole new Gen Z world,”and it will focus on “meta themes relatable to both new and old fans — Gen X parents and their Gen Z kids.”

This show will be Judge’s return to animation as his most recent work was co-creating the live-action HBO comedy series Silicon Valley. His other works include Fox’s King of the Hill and the films Office Space and Idiocracy. Currently, he’s under an overall deal at HBO and is developing the shows A5 and Qualityland.

“It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again,” said Judge.

Earlier this month, a Daria spinoff, titled Jodie with Tracee Ellis Ross starring, was set at Comedy Central.

MTV International and Comedy Central International have greenlit Lockdown Laughs with Charlotte Crosby (working title) and Comedians in Quarantine respectively, “to bring audiences comedic relief during this unprecedented time.”

Lockdown Laughs with Charlotte Crosby will see the Geordie Shore star feature “the best quarantine clips from across the globe.” Per the official description, in the show, Crosby will curate”the best heartwarming and hilarious quarantine clips,” while also giving “her own lockdown challenges to her MTV friends.”

Comedians in Quarantine will feature 10 comedians “exploring life during this new normal.”

“The comedians will write, perform and self-tape a range of comedy sketches, including tips on coping in confinement or cabin fever stand-up from their homes, each hoping to keep viewers laughing while the world is home,” according to the show’s description.

Multiple outlets confirm that Comedy Central is bringing back Good Talk With Anthony Jeselnik for a second season. The eight-episode sophomore season will debut sometime in 2020.

Reno 911 ran over a decade ago from 2003-9 is getting a new life and a new season at the forthcoming short-form platform. 

The original hailed from creators and cast members Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon, and Kerri Kenney-Silver. The three are also on board to write and star in the new and seventh season.

“Reno 911! holds a special place in our hearts, and it will be a delight to get the original cast back together for ‘re-boot goofin,’” Lennon said. “Hopefully Nick Swardson can still roller skate. Quibi’s short format seems custom made for our show.”

Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens will tell the story of a young woman named Nora Lum, growing up in Flushing, Queens, navigating young adulthood in outer-borough New York City alongside her family. In addition to Awkwafina, this series will also star BD Wong, Lori Tan Chinn, and Bowen Yang.

The list of directors in charge of helming this show is as impressive as its cast. Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll), Lucia Aniello (Broad City), Jamie Babbit (But I’m a Cheerleader), Daniel Scheinert and Dan Kwan (Swiss Army Man), Steven Tsuchida (Younger), and Anu Valia (The Other Two) will be entrusted with bringing individual episodes to life.

Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens still doesn’t have the official release date just yet, but it should premiere on Comedy Central in January next year.

Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, co-heads of original content for Comedy Central, also announced they’ve inked first-look deal with Drunk History showrunner Derek Waters.

“Derek Waters has repeatedly proven his comedic genius as a creator, actor, and director across multiple platforms through our hit, Drunk History. That series merely scratches the surface of his creative output, and we’re so excited to develop even more projects with him through Comedy Central Productions,” said the duo in a press release.

The new of the new nightly series hosted by Spade was announced Sunday at TCA.

According to Deadline, the still untitled series will air at 11:30 PM following Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show on Monday through Thursday nights starting later this year. After opening monologues from NBC’s Jimmy Fallon, CBS’ Stephen Colbert and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel, Spade is expected to focus on topics that offer a “signature take on the pop culture news of the day,” according to the network. The show will also feature a rotating group of celebrities and comedians.

Spade will also serve as executive producer alongside Alex Murray and Marc Gurvitz. Brad Wollack and Tom Brunelle of Free 90 Media will exec produce as well as serve as showrunners.

The Death Wish actor will follow in the footsteps of Charlie Sheen, James Franco, the late Joan Rivers, and even Justin Bieber when he takes the scorching hot seat on the date yet to be announced.

“This ain’t the first time I’ll be tied to a chair and held hostage by a group of humorless assholes for a couple hours,” quips the 63-year-old in the promo clip.

President of Comedy Central, Kent Alterman, has said, “Bruce has survived terrorists, Armageddon, romance and death itself. Yet, nothing has prepared him for this Roast.”

We’re expecting loads of shots taken at his career which includes 5 Die Hard films, a brief rendezvous as a recording artist, as well as the fact that his wife of 13 years, Demi Moore, married a man 23 years his junior.

There’s little doubt they’ll go the whole 9 yards.
