Love, Death and Robots will be back!

Netflix confirmed that the animated anthology series will return for Season Two. The streaming giant’s announcement on social media Monday morning also confirmed that Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Kung Fu Panda) has joined as supervising director for Volume 2 (aka Season 2) and will oversee all episodes.

Netflix has picked up another ‘volume’ of Love Death, Robots.

The first season of the series, created by Tim Miller and David Fincher, consisted of 18 episodes. The animated shorts (6-17 minutes long) hailed from different writers, directors, and animation studios and ranged in genre from sci-fi to fantasy, horror, and comedy.

Back when Love, Death, Robots was announced, Miller told The Hollywood Reporter that is was his “dream project.”

“It combines my love of animation and amazing stories. Midnight movies, comics, books and magazines of fantastic fiction have inspired me for decades, but they were relegated to the fringe culture of geeks and nerds of which I was a part. I’m so f***ing excited that the creative landscape has finally changed enough for adult-themed animation to become part of a larger cultural conversation.”

The episode count and debut date for Volume 2 has yet to be announced.
