]]>In addition to this trio, the list of this year’s inductees also includes country legend Willie Nelson, rock band Rage Against the Machine, 60s Motown group The Spinners, and pop-rock hitmaker Sheryl Crow.
To be eligible for induction, artists in the running are required to have released their first record at least 25 years prior to induction. This was the first year of eligibility for Missy Elliott, and four of seven inductees were on the ballot for the first time.
John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, said that this year’s incredible group of inductees reflects the diverse artists and sounds that define rock and roll, and he revealed what we can expect from the official ceremony this fall.
“We are honored that this November’s Induction Ceremony in New York will coincide with two milestones in music culture; the 90th birthday of Willie Nelson and the 50th Anniversary of the birth of Hip Hop,” said Sykes.
The 38th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on November 3 at Barclays Center in New York City.

]]>A previously unheard song titled “This Is How (We Want You To Get High)” by George Michael has been unveiled Wednesday. It is the first piece of music of Micheal to be released in seven years and three years after the pop icon’s death.
The single was recorded during Michael’s final studio sessions. Its release comes just days before a film Last Christmas, devoted to his decades-spanning discography, is set for release across the US and UK. The film was co-written by Emma Thompson and stars Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding.
“This new track we proudly send as his gift to you this season to bring you all love and festive joy…Whoever you worship…Whoever you love…” said Michael’s sisters, father, and longtime manager, David Austin in a statement.
