]]>The supermodel confirmed that she’s expecting her first child with boyfriend Zayn Malik. The 25-year-old Hadid announced the news in an interview on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
The pre-recorded interview opened with host Fallon by congratulating Hadid “on expecting a baby.”
“Thank you so much,” Hadid said. “Obviously, we wish we could have announced it on our own terms. But we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support.”
Fallon added: “the best news that you could ever have in the entire world — even in this crazy world where any news is kind of good news.”
Hadid and Malik began dating in November 2015. The off-again on-again couple got back together by the end of the year.

The former couple confirmed their split in March, with Gigi releasing a statement on Twitter saying that she was grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that she and Zayn shared.

Zayn’s statement echoed his ex’s, stating that Gigi has an incredible soul and that he has a huge amount of respect and adoration for her as a woman and a friend.

Following the release of his latest single, Let Me, the former One Direction member has now opened up to Ryan Seacrest regarding the break-up.
He revealed that he wrote the song — whose lyrics include the lines “Baby, let me be your man / So I can love you / For the rest of my life, for the rest of yours / For the rest of ours” — about Gigi “7 or 8 months ago”.
“I was in love — and I think that’s pretty evident. And yeah, I was aspiring to be in love with someone for the rest of my life and the rest of theirs, as we all do. And things change and we move forward in life. Times change, but yeah, that’s what I was thinking when I wrote it,” he added.
I guess we’ll always have the Pillowtalk music video…
