Jeezy and Gucci Mane buried the hatchet and ended their beefing for a bigger cause. The two Atlanta rappers will join forces this fall for a massive Legendz of The Streetz Tour that will see them taking a trip across the United States alongside a number of other rap heavyweights.

Jeezy announced the Legendz of The Streetz Tour on his social media, revealing that the show will feature performances from him, Mane, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Fabolous, Boosie Badazz, and DJ Drama. Grammy Award-winner Lil Kim and “B R Right” rapper Trina will also be part of the lineup on selected dates.

According to the current schedule, the tour will kick off on September 30 in Augusta and will see the bunch visiting Atlanta, Greensboro, Baltimore, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Jacksonville, and Tampa before wrapping up the journey on October 22 in Memphis. But this shouldn’t be all of it, as more dates are expected to be announced soon.

This massive tour was in the works for some time now and was initially titled Feed the Streetz Tour. But after several postponements and tweaks made to the lineup, the promoters We Are Live Entertainment decided to rebrand it in order to “better reflect our intent to pay homage to hip-hop culture and celebrate a group of legendary artists.”

“This is an opportunity for hip-hop fans across the country to experience something monumental, the likes of which has never been done before,” added We Are Live Entertainment in a statement shared with The Source.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a movie based on the life of rapper Gucci Mane is currently in development by Paramount Pictures and Imagine Entertainment. The latter one already has experience in music-related movies and TV shows, producing Eminem’s 8 Mile and musical drama Empire.

The biopic will be based on New York Times bestseller The Autobiography of Gucci Mane, with Brian Grazer, Erica Huggins, Todd Moskowitz and the 37-year-old rapper himself serving as producers of the movie.

There is no doubt that Mane’s life story is really worthy of a biopic. He grew up in Atlanta, where he started selling drugs while still in the eighth grade of elementary school and continued to do so through college. His music career started in 2001 after he was first arrested for drug possession. He was writing poetry since the age of 14, so he figured he could try himself as a rapper.

After being featured on various mixtapes, he decided to independently release his first album titled Trap House in 2005. After his first album achieved moderate success, he continued releasing new music regularly and helped to put trap rap on the music map.

In 2014, he pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and ended up serving almost three years in prison. During that time, he worked on new music, releasing a dozen of mixtapes with the help of his girlfriend and also managed to collaborate with rappers like Migos and Young Thug. After his releases from prison in 2016, Gucci Mane found even bigger success, reaching his first number one spot on US Billboard Hot 100 thanks to the collaboration with Rae Sremmurd, “Black Beatles.” Most recently, he released a new album titled Mr. Davis in October 2017. It gained positive reviews from the critics and debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200.
