If you were under the impression that Marvel is all shiny superheroes and happy endings, you may be in for a shocker. The Helstrom trailer is dark, creepy, and bursting with the best horror tropes.

Helstrom is Marvel’s first horror television series. The official Hulu synopsis reads: “Daimon and Ana Helstrom are the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer in Marvel’s Helstrom. The siblings have a complicated dynamic as they track down the terrorizing worst of humanity—each with their attitude and skills.”

Daimon will be played by Tom Austen and Ana will be played by Sydney Lemmon. They have both inherited powers from their father, who was a serial killer. Their mother, Victoria, is played by Elizabeth Marvel. By the looks of the trailer, a lot of the series will take place in the creepy asylum where she has been institutionalized.

The trailer also reveals that Victoria unleashed some kind of evil entity out into the world. It’s all very ominous and looks very, very exciting.
