]]>The deal will see Hart starring in and producing all four movies, while Netflix will also get a first look at all movies that HartBeat Productions create. The comedian previously had a first-look agreement with Universal Pictures.
“Partnering with Netflix is an amazing opportunity for HartBeat and myself. I am excited to act in and produce cutting-edge films with Netflix,” Hart told Deadline.
The financial terms of the deal are not disclosed, but it is hard to see the figure being any lower than what Adam Sandler received for a similar deal early in 2020. Back then, Sandler committed to making four more exclusive movies for Netflix for around $150 million.
Kevin Hart and Netflix developed a strong relationship in recent years. It all started with the documentary web series Don’t F**k This Up, which followed the controversy revolving Hart hosting the Oscars in 2018.
Hart and Netflix then teamed up for stand-up comedy special Zero F**ks Given, which was released as an exclusive for the streamer in late 2020. It ended up being the most-watched comedy special on the platform, with more than 22 million checking out the title in the first four weeks.
Finally, Hart will also make an appearance in Netflix’s upcoming limited series True Story. This will be his TV drama debut.

]]>Kevin Hart: What the Fit is set to debut on March 8, 2018, with two episodes rolling out each week, on Thursday and Friday.
“Fitness is about to get a whole lot funnier and I can’t wait for fans to see a side of me and my friends they haven’t seen before,” -said Hart in a press release. “I’m always looking to switch things up. Everybody thinks that fitness is tough and because of that some people won’t even give it a chance … I wanted to show the fun side of fitness.”
This won’t be the only project Kevin Hart will have on Laugh Out Loud Network as his interview series Cold as Balls already debuted on the channel. In this series, Hart is joined by guests from the world of sport including Blake Griffin, Lindsey Vonn, Hope Solo, Draymond Green, Chandler Parsons, Desean Jackson, and Baron Davis. What makes it different from similar interviews, besides Hart’s edgy questions, is the fact that both Hart and the guest are sitting in an ice bucket during the talk.
“The biggest thing was me putting myself in a position where I wouldn’t be comfortable, and be in a place where we could create great comedy” – said Hart about this series that will have 12-episodes run.
