]]>Love, Victor is a spin-off to the 2018 hit movie Love, Simon. It focuses on a new Creekwood High School student, Victor, who has an equally complicated journey of self-discovery after moving to a new city with his family.
If you binge-watched Love, Victor in a single day, you already know that it ended with a major cliff-hanger that left fans asking for more episodes. Executive producer Brian Tanen previously discussed a potential second season with TV Line and said he’s considering making more references to the original film.
“For us, involving characters from the film is always on our wish list. They are such an incredibly talented and busy group of actors, so we say it with a grain of salt, hoping we can get people to participate,” explained Tanen.

]]>According to Variety, sources close to the studio, this show was moved to a new platform after the masterminds behind Disney+ came to a conclusion it won’t fit with the family-friendly content they’re trying to curate on this streaming platform.
Love, Simon isn’t even the first show to experience a Disney+ to Hulu relocation. The same thing also happened to High Fidelity starring Zoë Kravitz, another show based on a movie. As Hulu already aired several shows with young adult protagonists, it seemed like an appropriate home for this one.
The half-hour comedy also got a new name – Love, Victor – after the titular character played by Michael Cimino, a new student at Creekwood High School, who’s on his own journey of self-discovery. The series will premiere in June, as a way of celebrating Pride Month.
