]]>Mario Lopez took to Instagram Friday with a first look at the new series. He shared a video of himself and his co-star, Elizabeth Berkley, on the set at the iconic The Max diner. The two who starred in the original series are set to reprise their roles as A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano.
The teaser follows other Saved by the Bell news that original star Mark-Paul Gosselaar will star in the reboot after all. Per Entertainment Weekly, he will appear in three episodes as high school heartthrob Zack Morris now governor of California, who gets into trouble for closing too many low-income high schools, sending those students to the high-performing schools in the state including Bayside High.
A premiere date for the reboot has yet to be announced.
Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, is set to launch in April 2020.

]]>Mario Lopez and wife Courtney have confirmed that they are expecting baby no. 3. The couple both took to social media to announce the very exciting news.
Courtney announced the news to her followers with an adorable slideshow of photos captioned “Oh BABY!! Here we go again…#LopezPartyofFive #DebutinginJuly.” The slideshow features a snap of Mario kissing her burgeoning baby bump, as well as pics of proud siblings Dominic Luciano, 5, and Gia Francesca, 8 in ‘Best Big Brother’ and ‘Best Big Sister’ t-shirts.
The Saved By the Bell alum shared an adorable video of the family announcing the news. During the “fam bam update” on Instagram, Mario said, “That’s right! We’re adding to the team. We’re going to be a party of five. We don’t know what we’re having. It remains to be seen. So blessed.”
