Casting her in this music video is a genius move on Trainor’s side, but she’s not even the first artist to come up with this idea! Kris Jenner previously appeared in Ariana Grande’s “Thank You, Next” video, recreating the role of “cool mom” that Amy Poehler played in Mean Girls.

This time around, she can be seen lip-syncing the words of Trainor’s new song while wearing a platinum blonde wig, dancing by the singer’s side, and sipping the tea from a diamond-encrusted cup.

“Mother” is featured on the deluxe edition of Trainor’s latest album Takin’ It Back, and she described it as a song “for anyone who is in a situation where they feel like they are being mansplained to  and want to take their power back.”

The Mathew Cullen-directed video is set in a retro office space and sees the singer paying homage to the ‘80s with her curly hair and boxy blazers. The video features a special appearance from Nicki Minaj who joins Trainor by the very end of the video, and makes her way from the elevator to the executive office, with Trainor by her side.

The “All About That Bass” bass singer told People about the collaboration, “my manager started managing her so that was my in. They told me she doesn’t do a feature, she has to really like the song. So I was so excited… In high school, I used to party to her songs all the time and learned every single word.”

Her new album Treat Myself came out on January 31st, and it also features collaborations with The Pussycat Dolls and AJ Mitchell.

The iconic theme is ‘I’ll Be There For You’ by The Rembrandts and Trainor’s cover is spot on. She was tapped by Warner Bros to perform the song as a special accompaniment to the Friends-themed light show on the Empire State Building. The top of the building lit up in the colors of the series logo – red, blue and yellow.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Trainor declared she was “over the moon” to have been chosen for the task. She took the challenge very seriously and to make sure the cover was perfect, she got her friends and family together to sing the track with her.

“I actually cut the vocals in my backyard in my studio, with my little brother, my older brother, my husband, and my best friend,” Trainor told Rolling Stone. “And we were just all laughing and in disbelief. Like, ‘How is this really happening?’ It was a big party, the best night.”

Friends celebrated the 25th anniversary of the first episode over the weekend (September 22).

Entertainment Tonight confirms that the 25-year-old singer and 26-year-old actor tied the knot on Saturday, December 22.

The two said their ‘I do’s’ on the singer’s birthday, exactly one year after they announced their engagement. They have been dating since July 2016. The intimate nuptials took place in the backyard of the couple’s LA home in front of 100 close family and friends.

“It’s the beginning of an awesome, whole new life,” said Trainor. “I got way more than I ever wished for.” “I’m the luckiest guy in the world,” added Sabara.

The bride opted for an elegant Berta gown, Badgley Mischka heels, and Norman Silverman jewels. Her second look was a gorgeous lace suit by Rita Vinieris and sneakers.
