This film will take us to a very special place in New England where love, loss, struggle, hope, and legacy play out between couples and families over generations.
The collaboration between Hanks and Zemeckis spans three decades, and it kicked off with the 1994 classic Forrest Gump. Here will be somewhat of a Forrest Gump reunion since it also stars Robin Wright and it was written for the big screen by Eric Roth. Paul Bettany and Kelly Reilly are also set to star.
Michelle Dockery rose to prominence during her time on the period drama Downton Abbey, and she reprised the role of Lady Mary Crawley in two spinoff films. She also received acclaim for her roles in the mini-series Godless and Defending Jacob, and we’ll soon get to see her in Steven Knight’s BBC series This Town.

This will be the beginning of many reunions for at least 2 of the actors as a Downton Abbey film is set to begin production very soon.

With the summer almost over, shooting is expected to start any day.
