The album, named after the musician’s late mother, is West’s 10th studio album, following the evangelical Jesus Is King, which was released in 2019.

According to Kim Kardashian, Donda‘s released version is dramatically different following three listening events as well as at a “performance art” wedding. Originally scheduled for release on July 22, the album now features 27 tracks and contributions from Jay-Z, The Weeknd, Young Thug, Jay Electronica, The Lox, Travis Scott, and others. 

But that’s now all. 

Following the release of Donda on Spotify, West took to social media, claiming his Universal Music record label released the album without his approval. “Universal put my album out without my approval and they blocked “Jail 2” from being on the album,” he wrote. According to Variety, while reps for Universal had no official comment on the allegation, sources at the company called it “preposterous.”

What does the future hold for this official released version of West’s newest album? We don’t know, but if 2016’s Life of Pablo is any indication, fans should expect remixes and re-records for weeks to come.

The death of the Rock ’n’ Roll star was confirmed by a family spokesperson to the Los Angeles Times. He died on Saturday at his home in Nashville. The rep did not disclose the cause. 

Don, together with his bother Phil, was part of the 1950s and 1960s hit duo the Everly Brothers. The duo’s best known hits include “Bye Bye Love” and “All I Have To Do Is Dream.” Their pair’s famed harmonies are recognized by all and have influenced groups like The Beatles and Simon and Garfunkel.

“It’s almost like we could read each other’s minds when we sang,” Don Everly told The Los Angeles Times shortly after his brother’s death.

Don and Phil has a public breakup in 1973 that was followed by a 10-year estrangement, but their relationship was stronger than that. During their time apart, both pursued solo careers with limited success.

Between 1957 and 1962, the duo had 15 U.S. top 10 hits. They were elected to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and were given a lifetime achievement award at the 1997 Grammys.

The 2021 edition of the festival will be headlined by rising rap star Lil Baby and Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber while also promising performances from Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, and Roddy Ricch. The bill also includes A$AP Ferg, Tinashe, Lil Durk, and Freddie Gibbs, alongside a number of later additions.

The two-day event, marking the 10th anniversary of the festival, will take place at Philadelphia’s Ben Franklin Parkway on Labor Day weekend (September 7-8).

“This year will be like no other, as Made In America celebrates 10 years of music history-making moments,” said founder Jay Z, who also serves as a curator of the festival. “We look forward to sharing incredible memories with our festival attendees and the city of Philadelphia.”

Jay Z founded Made in America as a way to bring music and culture together. The inaugural event was held in 2012 and had 80,000 people attending. The audience grew each year since, with the festival welcoming some of the biggest names in popular music.

A Los Angeles-edition of the festival was held in 2014, but it turned out to be a one-off event due to poor ticket sales.

The new mixtape features guests including rappers Playboi Carti, Future, Young Thug, Chris Brown, and more. It includes his new track “Toose Slide,” which dropped in April, and “When to Say When” and “Chicago Freestyle,” which dropped at the end of February.

The 74-year-old musician has announced that he’s working on a new archival LP. Road of Plenty will feature material from the mid-to-late 1980s as well as live recordings from a 1986 Crazy Horse tour and unheard 1989 studio work with his Saturday Night Live band

“It was my fault that we didn’t get together at the time and have a reunion tour and album,” Young said in his announcement of Road of Plenty. “I don’t even know why. It was my own fault. I should have done it. Apparently I was distracted by other things at the time. Life was moving fast, perhaps a bit too fast for me to see.”

While Road of Plenty is slated for a 2021 release, Young has plenty of music en route with Homegrown, an LP shelved in 1975, resurrected and planned for June 19, Return to Greendale on July 17, The Neil Young Archives Volume 2 on August 21, the 1990 Rust Bucket gig on October 16 and the 1971 solo acoustic show Young Shakespeare on November 27.

Sunday was a very good day for One Direction fans after Payne took to social media revealing very exciting news. The former band member went on Instagram Live to chat with Swedish DJ Alesso.

Fans have been speculating for a while that a reunion might be happening as the band’s 10th anniversary is only months away, so the Instagram Live was the perfect moment for them to ask about it. 

“Oh my god dude… there’s so many One Direction questions,” Alesso told Liam during live session. “But I feel like I don’t want to put you on the spot because I know you can’t say too much.”

He added: “most of us are in London, we’ve been trying to arrange the first group FaceTime with the boys at the moment. I can’t say too much. Louis told me off for revealing a bit of our plans the other day, so you’re going to have the group chat telling me off.” 

Reunion rumors were first sparked when Payne told The Sun, “We’ve got a 10-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice. You hear a lot of people’s voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before, it’s very interesting.”

Reps for the singer-songwriter announced Friday that Taylor’s live performances as part of her “Lover Fest” tour will be rescheduled in 2021. 

The “Shake It Off” singer took to social media to announce the news to her fans. 

I’m so sad I won’t be able to see you guys in concert this year, but I know this is the right decision,” she wrote on her Twitter account. “Please, please stay healthy and safe. I’ll see you on stage as soon as I can but right now what’s important is committing to this quarantine, for the sake of all of us.”

After a 12 year musical hiatus, Lindsay Lohan the actress-turned-singer-songwriter-turned-businesswoman is back with new music. 

Lohan took to her social media sharing a 30-second teaser captioned with a very simple “I’m back!” 

This isn’t the first time, however, that Lohan teased she has new music en route, but if the past is any indication, that doesn’t always mean that it’ll actually happen. 

This announcement follows Lohan’s under-the-radar comment about a third studio album to be released at the end of last month, which never happened as well as a similar teaser of a new single in August 2019 titled “Xanax.” That snippet of the music mysteriously disappeared and the song was never officially released.

Lohan dropped her debut album, Speak, in 2004. It peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.

The musical institution announced that the 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony scheduled to take place May 2 has been postponed to an unknown date later this year. 

“The health and safety of our fans and visitors is our highest priority,” the organization told CNN in a statement. “Given recent news regarding coronavirus and the urging by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine regarding large public gatherings, we have made the decision to postpone the 2020 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Induction Week festivities until later this year.”

Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G. and T-Rex were going to be inducted, with Jon Landau and Irving Azoff were set to be the recipients of the Ahmet Ertegun Award for industry professionals.
