The project is set up under Davis’ broadcast-only overall deal at the broadcaster, a deal which was announced last August. 

All details about the project are being kept under wraps, but Variety, which was first to report the news, confirms that at Davis will serve as writer and executive producer on the project. 

The project marks Davis’ first post-Criminal Mind gig and should it go to series, it will also be the first primetime animated drama in Fox’s history.

Hulu unveiled the first look at its new alien animated comedy Wednesday. Solar Opposites hails from Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland and the Adult Swim writer Mike McMahan.

The alien animated comedy follows a team of four aliens who have escaped their exploding home world, only to crash land into a move-in ready home in suburban America. They are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome — Korvo (Roiland) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) only all that’s bad, while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love humans.

According to Variety, the series will follow Sleech and Klak, two brilliant alien doctors who specialize in rare sci-fi illnesses. When Sleech defies protocol and contracts a disease from another dimension, the heroes must find a cure before the universe is destroyed.

The project hails from Cirocco Dunlap, who is a writer and supervising producer on Lyonne’s acclaimed Netflix series Russian Doll. Lyonne and Rudolph will exec produce.

“Cirocco is an incredibly gifted and hilarious talent and we can’t wait to share her irreverent and existential point of view: a sci-fi world so deep and so strange and so animated,” Rudolph and Lyonne said in a statement.

Family Guy producer Gary Janetti’s Instagram account is coming to television, with a new animated series about the British royal family. 

The series, as the hilarious ‘gram account, will poke fun at the British royals through the eyes of Prince George, Prince William and Kate’s firstborn and future king. 

“I’m thrilled to be working at HBO Max and bringing them yet another series about a family ruthlessly fighting for the throne,” said Janetti.

“We’re so excited to bring the world Gary’s created on Instagram over to HBO Max, where our viewers can discover what his Instagram fans already know — that George can be hilarious, shocking, and surprisingly sweet,” said Sarah Aubrey, head of original content for HBO Max. “We can’t wait to see what Gary does with a bigger canvas to paint on than just a 1:1 square.”

Janetti will write executive produce and voice star the series. Orlando Bloom, Condola Rashad, Lucy Punch, Tom Hollander, Alan Cumming, Frances De La Tour, and Iwan Rheon will also voice star in The Prince.

Multiple outlets confirm that is working on a new CG-animated He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

The streaming giant has teamed with Mattel Television on the reboot that will feature new storylines, which will reportedly remain separate from Netflix’s She-Ra and the Princess of Power reboot. 

A tweet from NX reads, “A young prince discovers a mighty power, and an epic story begins once more! He-Man and the Masters of the Universe wage a new battle against Skeletor in a reimagined take on the classic franchise.”

This project is not to be confused with the streamer’s previously announced anime series Masters of the Universe: Revelation from Kevin Smith.

The streaming service has ordered a new animated action series which sees the King of Rock ‘n Roll, who died 42 years ago, reimagined as a secret agent.

“Elvis Presley trades in his white jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to help battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves — all while holding down his day job as the King Of Rock And Roll.”

Agent Presley has been created by Priscilla Presley and John Eddie who will serve as executive producers.

“From the time Elvis was a young boy he always dreamed of being the superhero fighting crime and saving the world! Agent King lets him do just that,” said Priscilla Presley. “My co-creator John Eddie and I are so excited to be working with Netflix and Sony Animation on this amazing project and getting the chance to show the world an Elvis they haven’t seen before.”

And if the criminals are caught, they get to hear the jailhouse rock…

The show follows a group of friends living at the dawn of human civilization. They’re the first to discover innovations like fire and the wheel — as well as humanity’s other best and worst innovations, including art, alcohol, fashion, racism… and, confusingly — monogamy. 

In addition to Kendrick and Efron the series stars Lamorne Morris, Jillian Bell, Paul Scheer and Lisa Kudrow.

The series hails from Chris Bruno and David Howard Lee, and is set to debut later this year on Facebook Watch.

The series is Fox’s latest animated effort after it ordered two new animated series for next season — Amy Poehler’s Duncanville and Bless This Mess from Emily Spivey, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Seth Cohen, which stars Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell, and Ike Barinholtz.

Lyle & Caroline is described as a family-driven comedy focusing on the friendship of its two titular characters, who form a surrogate grandparent/grandchild bond in an unexpected way. According to Deadline, Kudrow will provide the voiceover of Caroline, the high school-aged grandchild as well as the voiceover.

Brothers Eric and Justin Stangel (Late Show With David Letterman) will pen the script and executive produce alongside Kudrow.
