Another Netflix show that won the critics was Russian Doll, which took home the Outstanding New Program. David Milch was the Lifetime Achievement Honoree and the heritage award went to HBO’s Deadwood.

]]>Russian Doll tells the story of a cynical young woman who finds herself trapped in a seemingly endless time loop during her birthday party, and does everything in her power to figure out how to escape it and go on with her life.
Co-creator Natasha Lyonne and Netflix content VP Cindy Holland shared the news about the show’s renewal during Recode’s annual Code Conference. They didn’t go into details, but Lyonne promised we can expect an even weirder new season.
She previously discussed the future of the show in an interview with IndieWire and revealed she knows exactly what to do if Netflix decides to renew the show.
“I have some ideas that are pretty out there for what the next season would be. The show certainly has some legs for more bizarre scenarios,” said Lyonne.
