Just in case anyone doubted, Netflix announced on Friday that their massive hit TV show Stranger Things will return for Season 3. The streaming service first posted a pool on Twitter, asking the fans to vote on whether the show should return for season 3. Then, without bothering to check the result, they officially announced the third season tweeting: “FOR THE LOVE OF STEVE, DUH! So hold tight baby darts — season 3 is officially happening.”

Of course, it was obvious that Netflix will carry on with Stranger Things after such positive response from the audience, but it is always good to have an official confirmation. Previously, the show’s creators Matt and Ross Duffer revealed to E! that their plan is to run Stranger Things for four or five season at max.

“I think, you know, four to five seasons is likely where we’ll end up, but who knows?” said Ross. “I mean, none of this official, and we know where we want to go. We’re trying to figure out still how long it’ll take to get there, so we’ll see.”

“It’s hard like four seems short, five seems long. So I don’t know what to do.” Matt added.

So far, we don’t know when season three could be released, but a realistic timeline is the end of 2018 or early 2019, given the 15 months gap between season 1 and season 2. The reports say that the filming of new episodes will start in Atlanta in the spring of 2018. The entire main cast is also set to return.

Finally, through interviews of the cast members and creators, we learned a bit about the setting of the Season 3. It will be set in 1985 and it might not take place in Hawkins.

Whatever happens, or wherever the show takes us, we are sure it will be one exciting journey.

If you have spent most part of this year hoping for Netflix to drop down a new season of Stranger Things, then rejoice. The waiting is almost over since in less than 15 days, the entire season of this awesome show will be available for you to binge watch.

Now, Netflix released the final Stranger Things trailer. Also, the date couldn’t be better, since it went online on Friday the 13th. How convenient. If you have big expectations for the second season of the show, you might get what you’ve wished for. At least when it comes to monsters. Do you want to know what we are talking about?

Then check out the trailer below.

What do we know about Season 2 so far? Well, first things first, we know that the events of the Season will take place in 1984, around Halloween. This is a year after the events of the first season. We also know the creators have revealed the final titles of the first 6 episodes, while previously saying that there are some hints there. Here are the titles:

Dragon’s Lair
Trick or Treat Freak
The Pollywog
Will the Wise
Dig Dug
The Spy

The titles were revealed via a video posted on Stranger Things’ Twitter account.

It seems that Stranger Things Season 2 will bring lots of new and interesting stuff, but we will have to wait until October 27 to find everything out.
