]]> Empire star Taraji P. Henson is ready to settle down. Henson went on her Instagram on Monday and revealed she is an engaged woman by showing off her big diamond ring. Her boyfriend of two years, former NFL star Kelvin Hayden, decided to “pop the question” during a romantic dinner on Sunday.

“I said yes y’all!!!” – Henson shared with her followers. “He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!!”

According to Hayden’s Instagram, the happy couple decided to celebrate their engagements with a romantic getaway as well.

Taraji P. Henson and Kelvin Hayden have been dating for more than two years but decided to keep their relationship under wraps. Henson revealed the news only recently during her appearance on ESSENCE’s Yes, Girl! Podcast in December 2017.

“You know, I’m not the type to blast my personal business, but you know, I think that it’s important for people to know that I’m happy,” said Henson at the time. “I’m very very happy. I just am. We’ve been together for two years. And no one would really know that because I don’t blast my info like that but I’m very happy.”
