The Oscar-nominated actor comes from a long line of performers who once dreamed about being where he is today, and he’s hoping that his Hollywood Walk of Fame inclusion will inspire others to reach for the stars.

“To have my name on the sidewalk where people will make their way in hopes of one day having some recognition, it’s humbling, because people will stand on your star and get a feel for who you are, you know, and try and put themselves in your shoes,” said Terrence Howard during his ceremony.

Howard was busy acting since the ‘90s, but his big break came with the role in the Academy Award-winning movie Crash from 2004. He scored an acting Oscar nod a year later for his performance in Hustle & Flow, and has been around ever since. The role of Lucious Lyon on Empire revived his career, but Howard intends to quit acting once this show comes to an end.

Charlie Collier, CEO of Fox Entertainment, recently broke the news but sounded positive about the future. He promised an “epic” conclusion to this story, filled with “shocking surprises and jaw-dropping moments” that fans deserve.
