The studio had managed to devise a strategy that led to a string of highest-grossing films but is still not consistent with its TV shows. First, rights issues set back the TV universe’s development and then, the closing of Jeph Loeb’s Marvel TV studio led to all projects being integrated into Marvel Studios which set another obstacle. The cancellation of those two projects seems to be coming from big boss Kevin Feige’s desire to keep all the projects under the MCU umbrella.

There are three more Marvel projects being developed for Hulu: the animated Hit Monkey and M.O.D.O.K. and the live-action Helstrom. It is not clear whether those series will get to go on air – they are less well known to the general public but their productions are already underway.

Other previously announced Marvel shows cancellations include Hulu’s Ghost Rider and Freeform’s Cloak &dagger that was canceled after 2 seasons. We will still get a new season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D on ABC, however.
