According to multiple outlets, the forthcoming steaming service has ordered four new stand-up comedy specials from Tracy Morgan, John Early, Rose Matafeo, and Ahir Shah.

“We are incredibly proud to showcase this expansive range of comedic talent on HBO MAX,” said Suzanna Makkos, executive vice president of original programming, comedy, and animation at HBO Max. “From legends to newcomers, this impressive slate of specials will complement the library of premium stand-up specials that HBO has become known for.”

The four new comedy specials join two previously announced by the streamer. HBO Max announced a partnership with Conan O’Brien, which means we get two additional special hosted by O’Brien.

Thanks a Million will see some of our favorite stars kicking off a chain of kindness by giving $100,000 to an unsuspecting individual who made their lives better. The chain continues by having that individual gift half of the sum to someone else who did the same for them.

The first season of Thanks a Million will feature a total of ten episodes, which means that $1,000,000 will end up in the hands of everyday people, explaining the title of this promising show with the generous premise.

In addition to Lopez, Bell, and Morgan, the first wave of celebrities taking part will also include model Karlie Kloss and sports stars Aaron Rodgers and Alex Rodriguez. The rest of the celebrity participants are yet to join the show, and the release date hasn’t been revealed just yet.
