On Swift Horses tells the story of newlyweds Muriel and Lee, who are trying to rebuild their lives after he returns from the Korean War. Their newfound stability is destroyed once Lee’s charismatic younger brother Julius enters the picture and a dangerous love triangle forms between them.

On Swift Horses is set in the thrilling world of racehorse gambling, and it will take us between the beaches of San Diego and the glitzy streets of Las Vegas after Julius leaves everything behind and heads to Sin City to chase the American Dream.

On Swift Horses will be directed by Daniel Minahan, while Bryce Kass came on board to adapt the script. Peter Spears and FirstGen’s Mollye Asher are producing the project, after winning the Best Picture Oscar for Nomadland. Daisy Edgar-Jones and Jacob Elordi landed the lead roles, while the rest of the cast includes Will Poulter, Diego Calva, and Sasha Calle.

In the Marvel comics, Warlock was introduced as an artificially created perfect human being, who rebelled against his creators and managed to escape them. His appearance in the MCU was teased in a post-credit scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 when Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) mentioned creating the perfect sovereign, capable of defeating the Guardians.

According to Deadline, the director James Gunn started a lengthy search for an actor who would play Warlock back in August. He met up with several other actors before Poulter won the part, and he’s expected to join the rest of the cast when the production kicks off in November.

Poulter rose to prominence with roles in We’re the Millers and The Maze Runner franchise, and he has one BAFTA award under his belt. His credits also include The Revenant, Detroit, and Midsommar, and we’ll next get to see him in Hulu mini-series Dopesick.

In case your memory needs a little jogging, “Bandersnatch” is Black Mirror’s interactive choose-your-own-adventure episode. Netflix users are able to choose what decisions the protagonist makes, leading to a different ending each time.

Poulter plays the game designer, Colin. Like his character in Bandersnatch, Poulter has a love of interactive video games and is about to release his brand new game, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope.

Speaking with NME, Poulter revealed that he would love to reprise his role as Colin. He then shared an idea he has had about how a Bandersnatch sequel would work.

“I would love to reprise my character,” Poulter said. “[Charlie Brooker, Annabel Jones and I] were discussing how much people engage with Easter eggs, and how the different episodes might be linked in some way. We did suggest that Colin might have the ability to time travel…”

“I would love it if [Colin] showed up in full-on, ’80s regalia,” he continued. “But he was, in fact, in the present day, or somewhere in the future. That would be really fun.”

Recently the show has enlisted another actress to its lines – the Australian Markella Kaengeh. She will play a character named Tyra, who is never mentioned in Tolkien’s books. It is still not known whether it’s a decoy name or not.

From what we know by now about the series, it will focus on the times before the events in The Fellowship of the Ring. According to images previously released by Amazon, the stories will be set in the second age of the fantastical land – the age where the rings of power, including Sauron’s one ring, were forged.

The Lord of the Rings is being written by JD Payne and Patrick McKay. Bryan Cogman who worked on Game of Thrones will be a consulting producer.
