Based on Anthony Robles’ true life story, this film will center on an NCAA Division I champion wrestler who was born without a right leg and managed to overcome many obstacles to win a national championship against the school that once rejected him.

Based on the book Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion by Anthony Robles and Austin Murphy, this film was adapted for the big screen by John Hindman, and it will be directed by the Oscar-winning Argo editor William Goldenberg.

Unstoppable marks Amazon MGM Studios’ second collaboration with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company Artists Equity following the success of Air. It stopped filming after the WGA Strike kicked off, and it will go back to production on December 12.

The Oscar-nominee Cheadle most recently appeared in Noah Baumbach’s White Noise and Disney+ series Secret Invasion. Peña is fresh off playing the lead role in A Million Miles Away, while Cannavale appeared in the Netflix comedy Old Dads earlier this year.

According to Netflix’s official synopsis, Old Dads centers on “three best friends (Bill Burr, Bobby Cannavale, Bokeem Woodbine) [who] become fathers later in life and find themselves battling preschool principals, millennial CEOs, and anything created after 1987.”

Burr plays Jack, a dad who’s struggling to fit in at his son’s progressive preschool and constantly getting into fights with its principal. His best friend Connor (Cannavale) is trying way too hard to be cool because he can’t let go of his youth, while Mike (Woodbine) is dealing with an identity crisis after finding out his much younger girlfriend is pregnant.

Old Dads will also star Katie Aselton (Bombshell), Rachael Harris (The Hangover), Jackie Tohn (GLOW), Reign Edwards (The Wilds), and Miles Robbins (Blockers). In addition to directing the film, Burr also co-wrote the script alongside Ben Tishler and serves as one of the executive producers.

The release date of Old Dads is just around the corner and it will start streaming on Netflix on October 20.

MaXXXine serves as the third installment in Ti West’s horror series X, centered around Mia Goth’s characters Maxine Minx and Pearl. The first two films, X and Pearl, were shot back-to-back and they were both released to critical acclaim in 2022.

Since no slasher film is complete without a bunch of sequels, West decided to continue Maxine’s story in the third film in the franchise, which will show her continue her journey to fame and try to make it big in Hollywood during the 80s.

“X is a movie that is informed by and affected by independent exploitation auteur Americana and 1970s cinema, and Pearl is perhaps affected by the Golden Age of Hollywood and the glitz and glamor of cinema, MaXXXine will be more about within the industry itself and the boom of VHS,” explained West.

Kidman’s latest TV show is an adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s bestselling novel of the same name. In addition to Moriarty, this project will see her joining forces with David E. Kelley, who previously served as the creator and producer of her shows Big Little Lies and The Undoing.

Nine Perfect Strangers follows a group of people who attend an exclusive 10-day wellness experience called “mind and body total transformation retreat”. Shortly after arriving at the seemingly perfect resort, they start to discover more about its true nature and the mysterious woman who runs it.

In addition to Kidman, the star studded cast of this project also includes Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, and Samara Weaving. The filming of Nine Perfect Strangers wrapped up in Australia last December, but Hulu is yet to share its official release date.
