]]>Bonnie and Clyde were real-life outlaws who made fortune robbing banks across the US with their gang during the Great Depression. Their story served as inspiration for several films and a mini-series in the past, including the 1967 classic with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway.
Producers of Love is a Gun want to reintroduce the iconic story to the younger generation and they’re lucky to have a creative team of high caliber leading the way.
“Their story remains ubiquitous in popular culture across the globe, yet few in this generation know the details of their intimate love affair and the circumstances that led to their notorious crime spree that captured the imagination of the world in their time,” said the producing team in a joint statement.
Chloë Grace Moretz earned the title of the most promising young actress of her generation long before being cast as Bonnie. Her most recent credits include Sundance hit The Miseducation of Cameron Post and Luca Guadagnino’s remake of Suspiria.
Jack O’Connell rose to prominence thanks to the role in teen drama Skins and won BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2015 after giving a career-defining performance in Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken.

]]>The 21-year-old had her breakthrough role in the superhero film (and its sequel) where she donned a violet wig and black mask to bring the vigilante Hit-Girl to life. But, the actress has now said that she will not be taking part in the future reboot.
Speaking at a panel discussion at the Provincetown Film Festival, Chloe said, “I love the franchise. I think the first movie was really, really special. I wish the second one had been handled in a little bit of a different way. Because I think we were all kind of looking forward to something a little different than what happened with it all.”
Kick-Ass 2 earned $60.8 million at the global box office, compared to $96.2 million by the original.
So is Chloe definitely out of a possible Kick-Ass 3?
“As much as I love the character of Hit-Girl, I think she lives and survives in Kick-Ass, and I kind of want to keep her there. I kinda wanna keep everyone’s mind in Kick-Ass. So I don’t think there will be a Kick-Ass 3, at least I don’t think with Hit-Girl in it…”
Well, we’ll always have the comics…
