Wise will play Sloane, a glamorous entrepreneur who’s in a committed open marriage until two strangers threaten their love story. There’s also Maggie, a North Dakota student who accuses her married English teacher of an inappropriate relationship. Woodley plays Gia, a writer grieving the loss of her family and she convinces the three women to tell their stories, which will change their lives forever.
Gilpin will play Lina, an Indiana homemaker who has an affair after a decade in a passionless marriage.
Gilpin is known for her roles in GLOW, The Hunt, The Tomorrow War, and Nurse Jackie. Her next appearances will be in Gaslit and Roar.
Three Women is being adapted for the screen by Taddeo who will also serve as executive producer. Also executive producing are Laura Eason, Kathy Ciric, Emmy Rossum, and Louise Friedberg.

]]>Wise joins previously announced cast member Shailene Woodley in the series where three women take a crash course on how to change their lives.
Wise has been cast as Sloane, an entrepreneur in an open marriage until two strangers threaten her love story.
The other women are Lina, a homemaker in suburban Indiana who’s been in a passionless marriage for a decade and she starts an affair, and Maggie, a student in North Dakota, who accuses her English teacher of having an inappropriate relationship. There’s also Gia (Woodley), a writer grieving the loss of her family, who convinces these three women to tell their stories.
Wise is best known for starring in She’s Gotta Have It, Underground, Shots Fired, The Twilight Zone, and Boardwalk Empire. Her film credits include Fatherhood, The Weekend, and Firelight. The actress is set to star in Jurassic World: Dominion in summer 2022.

]]>“It’s true,” Wise wrote on her social media. “I will no longer be in Captain Marvel because the schedule conflicts with season 2 of She’s Gotta Have It.”
“Last week I felt pretty devastated—this week is leaps and bounds better,” the 33-year-old added. “You see, if you had told me that this would happen any year prior to 2016, I would have doubled over with laughter. But here we are—at a moment in culture where scheduling conflicts are rapidly replacing lack of options, and I feel absolutely blessed to be here.”
After appearing in series of short movies, DeWanda Wise had her television acting debut with a guest appearance on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She then appeared in The Good Wife, The Mentalist, and Sorta My Thing while also landing smaller roles in several movies. In 2017 she landed the lead role in She’s Gotta Have, the modern television remake of Spike Lee’s 1986 movie of the same name.
Captain Marvel is scheduled for release on March 8, 2019, with Brie Larson (21 Jump Street, Kong: Skull Island, and The Glass Castle) playing the titular role. Other cast members include Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, and Gemma Chan. Captain Marvel will be directed Mississippi Grind’s duo, Anna Boden, and Ryan Fleck.
