Showtime’s Three Women has cast DeWanda Wise in the upcoming series adaptation of the Lisa Taddeo novel.

Wise joins previously announced cast member Shailene Woodley in the series where three women take a crash course on how to change their lives.

Wise has been cast as Sloane, an entrepreneur in an open marriage until two strangers threaten her love story.

The other women are Lina, a homemaker in suburban Indiana who’s been in a passionless marriage for a decade and she starts an affair, and Maggie, a student in North Dakota, who accuses her English teacher of having an inappropriate relationship. There’s also Gia (Woodley), a writer grieving the loss of her family, who convinces these three women to tell their stories.

Wise is best known for starring in She’s Gotta Have It, Underground, Shots Fired, The Twilight Zone, and Boardwalk Empire. Her film credits include Fatherhood, The Weekend, and Firelight. The actress is set to star in Jurassic World: Dominion in summer 2022.
