]]>The post DJ Khaled Scores His Third No. 1 Album with “Khaled Khaled” appeared first on EverydayKoala.
]]>Khaled Khaled debuted atop the chart with 93,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week. It was followed by several previous no. 1 records—Moneybagg Yo’s A Gangsta’s Pain, Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album, and Justin Bieber’s Justice.
DJ Khaled is no stranger to topping the Billboard 200 chart. He previously hit no. 1 with Major Key in 2016 and Grateful in 2017. He also came close to reaching the top with Father of Asahd in 2019, but Tyler, the Creator’s Igor eventually took the no. 1 spot.
Just like many of DJ Khaled’s albums in the past, Khaled Khaled’s rise to the top was aided by an extravagant list of guest stars. “Greece” and “Popstar” featuring Drake reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 long before the album was announced, but Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, and Justin Timberlake were also among DJ Khaled’s collaborators on this record.

]]>The post DJ Khaled Joins Forces with Jay-Z and Nas in “Sorry Not Sorry” appeared first on EverydayKoala.
]]>The glitzy music video for “Sorry Not Sorry” isn’t exactly plot-driven, but that’s not stopping it from being epic. It shows DJ Khaled, Jay-Z, and Nas all dressed up at a casino, placing bets and stacking chips like there’s no tomorrow.
In addition to the famous trio, James Fauntleroy and Harmonies by the Hive have also been credited for collaborating with DJ Khaled on this song. The name of the later artist caused confusion when “Sorry Not Sorry” first came out, but it’s wildly believed that it refers to Beyoncé, whose voice popped up during Jay-Z’s verse.
“Sorry Not Sorry” is one of the songs from DJ Khaled’s latest album Khaled Khaled, which hit the shelves on April 30th. It features one of his most extravagant lists of collaborators, including Cardi B, Migos, Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, Justin Bieber, Drake, and Justin Timberlake.

]]>The “Popstar” video was helmed by Director X, and it’s truly a wild ride. It opens with DJ Khaled trying to discuss the logistics of safely shooting a video amid the pandemic with Drake, who decides to call in a favor instead of doing the work himself.
The solution to his problems comes in the form of one of the biggest stars on the current pop scene—Justin Bieber. He spends most of the video strolling through a mansion filled with party-goers and changing from one colorful outfit to the next, only to wake up next to his wife and realize it was all a dream.
“Popstar” was released on July 17th, as one of the singles from DJ Khaled’s upcoming 12th studio album Khaled Khaled. It debuted at no.3 on the Billboard Hot 100 long before the video was released.

]]>Saturday Night Live wrapped up its 44th season on May 18th, with Avengers: Endgame star Paul Rudd hosting and DJ Khaled acting as musical guest.
During his set, the “No Brainer” hitmaker paid homage to Hussle who was fatally shot while outside his clothing store in Los Angeles on March 31st, 2019.
Khaled appeared on stage at 30 Rockefeller Plaza wearing a sweatshirt that included the face of the late rapper who was known for songs such as “Double Up”. Hussle‘s face also featured during John Legend’s rendition of “Higher”, while Khaled concluded the show by declaring, “Long live Nipsey Hussle. The marathon continues.”
Legend was not the only famous voice joining the music producer. SZA, Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Jeremih, J Balvin, and Lil Baby all graced the season finale of SNL.

]]>SNL will return to NBC on May 4, in what is shaping up to be a historic episode for this show. It will see former star Adam Sandler take on the hosting duties for the first time ever since being fired from this show over two decades ago.
May 11 episode won’t lack excitement either since it sees Jonas Brothers coming back to Saturday Night Live after an entire decade. They’ll appear alongside first-time host Emma Thompson, who’s currently busy promoting her upcoming comedy Late Night.
Season 44 will conclude on May 18, with Paul Rudd coming back to host for his fourth time alongside musical guest DJ Khaled.

]]>The first film came out in 1995 and was an instant hit. Bad Boys II came out in 2003, and despite low ratings, was commercially successful. 16 years later, a third sequel will see Will and Martin clash with a modern, highly specialized unit when a security threat emerges in Miami.
In addition to the two stars, DJ Khaled is reported to be playing a role in the upcoming movie. He confirmed the news on an Instagram post, saying, “Blessed to announce that I will be joining Will S
Other names confirmed for the sequel include Paola Nunez, Jacob Scipio, Charles Melton, Alexander Ludwig and Vanessa Hudgens. The film’s former director Michael Bay won’t be returning. He was replaced by Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi.
Earlier this month, Smith had leaked a photo of the movie that seemed to show its official title will be Bad Boys For Lif3. But Khaled’s photo showed him posing by a chair with the conventional name Bad Boys for Life.

]]>The post DJ Khaled Drops Star-Studded Video appeared first on EverydayKoala.
]]>This classic summer anthem will be a part of DJ Khaled’s upcoming album Father of Ashad. Curly-headed toddler makes a cameo in the video, in his father’s latest attempt to transform him into a mini-superstar. He can be seen sitting in a director chair alongside his dad and Justin Bieber.
The whole thing takes place on the set of a fake music video, showing how phony this world can be. Set pieces are over the top and obvious product placement is pretty much everywhere. Quavo spends some time painting an abstract portrait of the model in front of him, but Chance is nowhere to be found. He finally shows up by the very end to throw an epic Gatsby-themed party.
The hit-making squad already has one song that peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. No Brainer has the same kind of catchy beat and playful lyrics, so it’s just the matter of time before it goes platinum. Will it repeat the success of I’m The One? Let’s wait and see!
