]]>On December 15, HBO confirmed on Twitter that Euphoria will be returning sometime in 2020 with the post, “My favorite thing to do in the world is watch great TV. But watching hype sizzle reels is a close second. See what’s available to stream now and what’s coming in 2020,” followed by a shot of Rue and Jules.
Storm Reid, who plays Gia, Rue’s younger sister told Entertainment Tonight in late February that, “In the next couple weeks we start [filming]…We’re getting scripts soon. Table reads are coming. I’m on the edge of my seat, because I have no information, other than my character is supposed to be developing and becoming her own. So I am very excited about that.”
There’s still no official word as to who’s returning for Season 2 as HBO left a lot of unanswered questions at the end of Season 1— we’re still waiting to see if Rue is alive or dead after what looks to have been an overdose, if Nate will go to jail for his crimes, and what happened to Fez after the robbery?

]]>HBO’s controversial series has dismissed the haters by moving forward with a second season of Euphoria.
Based on an Israeli series, Zendaya stars as a former drug addict who has just been released from rehab and makes friends with a new girl in town.
The series depicts graphic sex, violence, and drug use, with over 5.5 million viewers having tuned in to the series’ premiere on June 16th.
“Euphoria creator, Sam Levinson, has built an incredible world with an extraordinary cast led by the supremely talented Zendaya. We are so grateful that he chose HBO as the home for this groundbreaking series,” HBO’s executive vice-president of programming, Francesca Orsi, said in a statement. “We look forward to following these complex characters as their journeys continue through the challenging world they inhabit.”
The first season of Euphoria ends on August 4th, with no date set for season two as yet.
