The sixth album by rapper Mac Miller was released posthumously in January and it’s his best work. He rapped about his addiction, depression, loss, and existentialism. It shows the power that music has for healing.
After waiting four years for this album to arrive, fans weren’t disappointed with the catchy toons that revolve around a failed relationship. Highlights include “Blinding Lights,” “Heartless,” and “In Your Eyes.”
The singer’s second album features 11 dance anthems that were inspired by the ’70s and ’80s. Although it draws upon past eras, it’s far from outdated and it’s the high-energy Studio 54 boost we can all use right now.
Apple’s first albums since 2012 happens to be our favorite and it’s a look inside the singer’s brain that has the piano solos she’s famous for as well as yelling, murmuring, and conversations all done over kitchen instruments and animal sounds. It’s not as polished as most albums on this list, but that’s what makes it stand out.

]]>The artist confirmed the April digital drop of her new album titled Fetch the Bolt Cutters. Apple announced the news in a video, which was shared via the Fiona Apple Rocks Tumblr page.
Apple has been teasing new music for the past year, and in a recent interview with the New Yorker, she even revealed the names of several of the album’s songs, including “On I Go,” “The Drumset Is Gone,” “Rack of His,” “Kick Me Under the Table,” “Ladies,” “For Her,” “Shameka,” “Heavy Balloon” and “I Want You to Love Me.”
Fetch the Bolt Cutters, Apple’s fifth studio album, arrives April 17. It follows 2012’s The Idler Wheel…

]]>If you think this phrase sounds familiar, you must be a huge fan of British crime series The Fall starring Gillian Anderson. She once recited this phrase while investigating a crime scene where a girl was tortured, and this line obviously struck a cord with Apple.
She also revealed that her album will feature a total of 13 tracks, including the titular track “Fetch the Bolt Cutters”. Apple recently said she’s done recording her fifth LP, but it’s yet to get an official release date.
The singer also told New Yorker that her new album is about “not being afraid to speak” and about her struggle to “not fall in love with the women who hate her”. It will be her first studio effort since her 2012 record The Idler Wheel, and she’s been working on it since 2015.

]]>Apple announced the news by sharing a video where she spelled out the letters “M-Y-R-E-C-O-R-D-I-S-D-O-N-E” in American Sign Language before smiling and nodding to the camera.
Her fifth studio album still doesn’t have an official title or a release date, but her fans have been waiting for it ever since 2012’s The Idler Wheel… came out.
The Grammy-winning singer previously told Vulture her new album was “supposed to be done a million years ago” and that she’s hoping it will be released in early 2020. She also admitted she’s still not completely sure how it compares to her previous albums.
“It’s probably its own thing. But I don’t know how to articulate that. I can’t really know the growth or the evolution or anything like that in what I do, because I’m in the middle of it,” explained Apple.
