]]>Fans of Iggy Azalea were left feeling bittersweet last summer when the hip hop star dropped her third studio album. While The End of an Era was welcomed, it came with the announcement that Iggy would be taking time off to do other stuff.
“End of an Era is so special to me because after I drop my album next month i am going to take a few years to focus on other creative projects and things I’m feeling passionate and inspired by, beyond music,” she tweeted in July 2021. “I’m excited for you guys to see different sides to me in the future.”
But it seems a lot can happen in a year as the “Sip It” rapper has had a change of heart. Azalea once again took to Twitter where she confirmed that she is making a comeback.
“A year ago I was willing to walk away from music because I was tired of the negative energy it attracted,” she wrote. “But what I’ve learned is that even when I’m minding my business, y’all gonna be negative AND nosey. So if I can’t have peace, neither can you. I’m coming back. Cry about it.”
We can’t wait to hear what she has in store for us.

]]>After a five-year long break and an even longer fight to take creative control of her music, the Aussie rapper is ready for an epic comeback with her sophomore album.
Swift never had any trouble building up the hype around her new music, and we’re pretty sure she’ll send her fans into collective frenzy this August.
Mabel is one of our favorite rising stars of the year, and let’s just say we have high expectations for her first album.
Sheeran’s new album features collaborations with Camila Cabello, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber – and we wouldn’t miss it for the world.
We’ll have to wait all the way until September for one of the most highly-anticipated summer records, but Charli’s music has always been worth the wait.

]]>Her new song, “Started”, was inspired by Drake’s mantra “started from the bottom” – but it comes with a twist. The savage music video for her latest single sees Azalea doing everything she can to get rid of her elderly husband so she could get her hands on his enormous fortune.
Judging by the first two songs from her upcoming album, Azalea is taking a tongue-in-cheek approach to her music videos and making them as surreal as possible. We can’t wait to see what she’ll do with her next single “Freak of the Week”, since she said it’s her favorite song from the upcoming album, In My Defense.
Iggy Azalea previously described this highly-anticipated record as an “atomic bomb of the album.” Its official release date still remains a mystery.

]]>The rapper gave a very candid interview to Billboard on Friday, in which she revealed just how bad her mental state had become.
Following a Twitter war with her record label which resulted in her leaving Def Jam, allegations of cultural appropriation, and a canned second album, the Australian native commenced on a downward spiral, prompting her team to take action.
They staged an intervention for the 27-year-old and recommended that she check into a mental retreat in Arizona.
“They were like, ‘We think you’re really talented and you can go to the studio and make hits all day, but we don’t know if, you know, someone says something about you and you have a reaction it could ruin a branding deal,’” she recalled. “‘We need you to go and speak to these people and make sure that you’re mentally prepared to come out with new music.’ I didn’t want to go there — I didn’t like the idea of being sent away somewhere. I was pissed.”
But after spending 2 weeks at the facility, Iggy is grateful for following orders
“I’ve never really sat down and had an honest conversation with professional people. It was good to say something to somebody who could give me the tools and information on how to make my life manageable when I’m feeling those things. So it was really useful — I’m glad that I went.”
And we’re glad that you’re doing well, Iggy.
