The news comes after police brutality and systemic racism has rocked the country and there’s been a public backlash against police shows on television.

Variety confirmed that The Bad Boys spinoff, which was supposed to air the first few episodes of the second season on Spectrum on June 8, has decided to push back the release to an unspecified date later in 2020.

The series stars Gabrielle Union as Syd Burnett, a police detective with a complicated past who relocates to Los Angeles from Miami and partners with Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba), a working mom. The duo tackles the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles while not always following the rules and they become a solid team on the streets and in each other’s lives. Union’s Burnett is a revival of the character she played in the 2003 film Bad Boys II.

Less than a month ago, Fox acquired the broadcast rights to both seasons and was planning on airing them this fall. The 13-episode Season 1 is still set to air this fall on the network.

The series is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and 2.0 Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures TV and Charter Communications. Union and Alba alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Brandon Margolis, Brandon Sonnier, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Pam Veasey, Doug Belgrad, Jeff Gaspin, Jeff Morrone and Anton Cropper executive produced.

Multiple outlets confirm that actress Jessica Alba has been tapped to star in the lead role of Netflix’s forthcoming feature Trigger Warning. Alba is set to play a “traumatized veteran who inherits her grandfather’s bar, and is faced with a moral dilemma after discovering the truth behind his untimely death.”

Mouly Surya is on board to direct the action thriller. Josh Olson and John Brancato are set to direct. Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee are producing, with Alba executive producing.

Alba is best known for her roles in James Cameron’s Dark Angel series. Her film credits include Sin City and Fantastic Four. Alba currently stars in LA’s Finest. Surya is best known for helming the Cannes entry Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts.

Parenting Without Borders (working title), officially greenlit by the streamer, is described as Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown but with parenting as its focus rather than food. The travel show will follow Alba as she immerses herself with families around the world, exploring the parenting beliefs and practices shaping families today.

The docuseries is based on the 2013 book of the same name by Christine Gross-Loh, Ph.D. 

Kathryn O’Kane will serve as director and showrunner of Parenting Without Borders.

A premiere date for Parenting Without Borders has yet to be set.

Despite a major on-set accident and a less than favorable reception by critics, the cop show will return for another season. 

Series stars Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba confirmed the news Friday at the opening night of the 59th Monte Carlo Television Festival.

“We’re thrilled L.A.’s Finest has resonated with our subscribers in such a major way. When I first saw the pilot — a show about two strong women learning to trust and support each other and still getting into plenty of trouble — I knew I’d follow them anywhere,” said Katherine Pope, head of Spectrum Originals. “Kudos to Gabrielle and Jessica, as stars and executive producers, along with creators Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis and everyone else involved, for helping us launch our first original series and making the decision to greenlight a second season incredibly easy.”

She was forced to go public with her baby announcement a little sooner than planned after her bump was spotted while vacationing with her family in Hawaii this past week. An eyewitness called E! News to tell them the actress was avoiding sipping any alcohol and was definitely showing.

When Jessica announced on Instagram that she and Cash were finally going to be outnumbered, her fans went crazy. Already parents of daughter Haven and Honor, the two seem thrilled to be adding to their family.

Regarding the sex of the baby Cash told MailOnline “I think we’ll wait and see what the surprise is. Based on my friends who all have three kids who are all of the same gender, I’m imagining ours probably will go the same way.”

Cash said he’d love to have a little guy around to help him not feel so outnumbered, but that another daughter would be beautiful as well.

Haven and Honor are excited to be big sisters. Both girls had a few years of mommy and daddy’s focused attention and are ready to share.

Something important to note: Cash admitted that he and Jessica are done having children after baby number three comes.

Cash confessed that even though he and Jessica have been through this twice before, it feels new all over again. They read up on their baby’s progress each week and look at pictures of his/her growth.

Cash claims the key to their success as a family is learning how to be “present.” He and Jessica have “no device weekends” where they make sure they’re not checking emails or spending time working.

“When we are with our kids, we’re really 100 percent with our kids. The work/life balance is really just about living in the moment,” said Cash.
