]]>These kind of sales are impressive considering the fact that the movie has made 170 million dollars domestically, while Lionsgate estimates that the movie’s home release sales are on par with what a movie that made 250 million dollars domestically would do.
Lionsgate President of Worldwide Home Entertainment Ron Schwartz was naturally thrilled by the movie’s success. “The popularity of the John Wick franchise continues to surge with strong growth across packaged media, electronic sell-through, and video-on-demand platforms,” he said. “The success of John Wick: Chapter 3 is a testament to the film’s incredible cast, led by Keanu Reeves, and amazing creative team, the efforts of our sales and marketing executives, and the vibrancy of the home entertainment business across all of its platforms.”
Lionsgate is obviously counting on the franchise’s continuing success. John Wick 4 will be released in theaters on May 21, 2021.

]]>The 20th annual Golden Trailer Awards recognized the best of the best in worldwide film and TV marketing – including trailers, teasers, TV spots, posters, and innovative campaigns.
John Wick: Chapter 3 came out victorious in the main category (best of show), and ended the night a total of five trophies, including best action trailer and best summer blockbuster trailer.
A Star Is Born also walked away with five accolades, including best drama, best romance, and best music TV spot. Netflix’s black and white drama Roma was right behind, with a total of four awards, including the most original trailer.

]]>The film gets the title from what happened in chapter 2 of the famous action film. Toward the end of John Wick: Chapter 2, Wick was kicked out of The Continental for killing Santino D’Antonio—the criminal mind who had a seat at the table. The movie ends with John outrunning scores of assassins sent to kill him.
Chapter three of the movie follows the theme: “If you want peace, prepare for War.” The term comes from Latin words Si vis pacem, para bellum, hence the word Parabellum in the official movie title. It will come out later in May this year but not before the trailer is released any time from now.
As for the actual film, John Wick 3 will star Keanue Reeves as John and Halle Berry as Sofia, a fellow dog-loving assassin. The sequels were initially scheduled to end at Chapter 3 but director Chad Stahelski confirmed that he and Keanu were open to more sequels.
