Disney+ has given us one of its most popular shows with The Mandalorian, and they’re finally bringing this story to the big screen. The Mandalorian & Grogu will be the heroes of the next Star Wars movie, directed and produced by Jon Favreau.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but this movie is set to continue the story of Pedro Pascal’s lone Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin. He goes on a run and does everything in his power to protect the Force-sensitive infant Grogu (also known by the nickname “Baby Yoda”) from the Imperial forces after initially being hired to hunt him down.

Jon Favreau, who created The Mandalorian for Disney+, will return as director and producer of its feature film adaptation.

“I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting,” said Favreau in a statement.

Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, echoed his words and praised Favreau and Dave Filoni for ushering in a new era of Star Wars with these two beloved characters, whose story is a perfect fit for the big screen.

The Mandalorian premiered on Disney+ in 2019 and ran for three seasons, and the streaming giant is yet to officially announce its Season 4 renewal.

The third season of The Mandalorian is in the full swing, and this Disney+ show is only getting better and better as time goes by. Jon Favreau recently addressed the show’s future, and revealed he wants it to last “as long as the audience is connecting with these characters.”

Favreau created The Mandalorian for Disney+ in 2019, and this Star Wars spinoff quickly became one of its flagship shows. The fourth season is currently in development, in addition to the spin-off series Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew, but for how long will this hit show go on?

“I don’t know what would make me not enjoy doing it, especially as long as the audience is connecting with these characters… I love this format of telling one chapter at a time and keeping the audience guessing, but also fulfilling certain expectations,” said Favreau during EW’s Dagobah Dispatch podcast.

The Mandalorian returned to Disney+ for its third season earlier this month, with Lee Isaac Chung, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Rick Famuyiwa directing new episodes. The series is led by Pedro Pascal, with Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow, and Giancarlo Esposito in supporting roles. Christopher Lloyd and Tim Meadows are also set to appear in the later episodes of Season 3.

It’s okay, Gwyneth Paltrow, you’re not alone with your memory problems.

The Shakespeare in Love actress confessed earlier this year that she had forgotten that she filmed a scene for Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The Oscar winner filmed the brief scene for the Spider-Man sequel in 2017 and says she thought her appearance as Pepper Potts was for one of the Avengers movies.

Now her Marvel co-star and director in Iron Man and its sequel, Jon Favreau, says he totally understands why Paltrow forgot she was part of the second part of Peter Parker’s journey in which he also stars.

“With the Marvel things, they have so many films happening at the same time and all of them interweave with one another. Oftentimes you’re not exactly sure what’s happening, even me. I’m an executive producer on Endgame, I didn’t always know what was going on,” Favreau told Variety at the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Gwyneth Paltrow completely forgot she starred in a Spiderman movie!

Yep, you read right. The 46-year-old actress and entrepreneur had no recollection that she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Paltrow recently joined Jon Favreau and celebrity chef Roy Choi on Netflix’s newest food show The Chef Show. During her appearance, Paltrow questioned Favreau about the Netflix series.

“What is this TV Show for?” the Goop founder asked while the two cooked.

“We don’t really know. I started just filming. We were actually doing it when we were filming Spider-Man,” Favreau answered.

Spider-Man?” Paltrow replied looking confused

“Yeah, we were in Spider-Man together,” Favreau replies. “Remember, we were on Spider-Man?”

“We weren’t in Spider-Man,” Paltrow argues.

“Yes, we were. You were in Spider-Man,” Favreau insists.

“I was in Avengers,” she said.

“No, you were in Spider-Man also,” Favreau said.

“Remember, Spider-Man at the end, and Tom Holland’s there and you’re gonna walk out and do a press conference?”

“Oh yes,” she said. “That was Spider-Man? Oh my God!”

Let’s just say that Favreau was completely in the right — Paltrow made a brief cameo as the character Pepper Potts at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
