Lana Del Ray just gave an update on her forthcoming album Chemtrails Over The Country Club and announced that she’ll be releasing a digital album of “American standards and classics” in time for Christmas.

In an Instagram post, when talking about Chemtrails Over The Country Table, Del Ray said that the album is delayed for “16 to 17 weeks”, but finished and is “folky, super different from ‘Norman,’”—which was her previous album. Normal F—ing Rockwell was nominated for a Grammy last year.

Del Ray added that Chemtrails Over The Country Table will include “Patsy Cline songs, some Americana with Nikki Lane I’ve had in my back pocket,” which references the singer-songwriter who opened her 2019 Rockwell tour and performed with her.

Lastly, the singer mentioned her version of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from a new documentary about the Liverpool soccer team, which she later posted on Instagram.

Del Ray recently shared her new single “Let Me Love You Like A Woman”, the first track on the upcoming album.

The premiere of Charlie’s Angels remake is less than two months away and the team behind this movie is teasing it in the most perfect way – with the lead single from its promising soundtrack, performed by Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, and Lana Del Rey.

The music video for their new single “Don’t Call Me Angel” was directed by Grande’s frequent collaborator Hannah Lux Davis, and it proves that these three hit-makers are a match made in heaven. The trio can be seen hanging out at a lavish mansion, and rocking black angel wings, that perfectly fit the theme of this song.

The Charlie’s Angels remake was directed by Elizabeth Banks, who makes a brief appearance at the end of the video in the role of Bosley. The movie is set to be released on November 15th, and it will also star Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska as the titular characters.

We won’t have to wait that long to hear the rest of the soundtrack – this record will hit the shelves on November 1st, with Ariana Grande serving as one of the executive producers.

A few months ago, a rumor went around that Lana Del Ray had been taken to court over a copyright infringement accusation by Radiohead. The rock band accused the singer of copying their 1993 hit “Creep” in her album track “Get Free” on Lust for Life.

Del Rey later confirmed the rumor on Twitter: “It’s true about the lawsuit. Although I know my song wasn’t inspired by Creep, Radiohead feel it was and want 100% of the publishing – I offered up to 40 over the last few months but they will only accept 100. Their lawyers have been relentless, so we will deal with it in court.”

Things got a little more complicated when Radiohead’s publishers denied the lawsuit and claimed that all that had in fact gone on were “discussions” about crediting Radiohead as co-writers. Ironically, the band had previously been sued by Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood, claiming that “Creep” shares a chord progression with The Hollies 1972 hit “The Air That I Breathe.”

The latest news on Lana’s lawsuit is that it might have finally come to an end. During her set at Lollapalooza in Brasil last weekend, fans started to chant for “Get Free,” demanding it as an encore. She responded: “Now that my lawsuit’s over, I guess I can sing that song anytime I want, right?”
