]]>The 2021 edition of the festival will be headlined by rising rap star Lil Baby and Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber while also promising performances from Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, and Roddy Ricch. The bill also includes A$AP Ferg, Tinashe, Lil Durk, and Freddie Gibbs, alongside a number of later additions.
The two-day event, marking the 10th anniversary of the festival, will take place at Philadelphia’s Ben Franklin Parkway on Labor Day weekend (September 7-8).
“This year will be like no other, as Made In America celebrates 10 years of music history-making moments,” said founder Jay Z, who also serves as a curator of the festival. “We look forward to sharing incredible memories with our festival attendees and the city of Philadelphia.”
Jay Z founded Made in America as a way to bring music and culture together. The inaugural event was held in 2012 and had 80,000 people attending. The audience grew each year since, with the festival welcoming some of the biggest names in popular music.
A Los Angeles-edition of the festival was held in 2014, but it turned out to be a one-off event due to poor ticket sales.

]]>The stylish video directed by Mike Ho sees the duo delivering their lines in an animated ice-covered landscape. The backdrop switches once it’s time for Stallion to give us her verse, and we see the Grammy-winning rapper surrounded by hot lava while rocking a new outfit that perfectly fits this setting.
The “On Me” remix comes shortly after Stallion said she’s taking a musical hiatus and “recharging” to prepare for the next stage of her career. It’s safe to assume that the remix and music video was filmed before she made this announcement last week.
Even before the “Savage” rapper hopped on the remix, Lil Baby found significant success on the charts with this track. “On Me” was released on December 4th, with another song “Errbody”, and peaked at no. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Both songs are expected to be featured on his third studio album, the follow-up to the chart-topping record My Turn.

]]>This album hit the shelves on February 28th and debuted atop the Billboard 200. It went on to become certified platinum in mid-May and spent 13 consecutive weeks in the top 10 before returning back to no. 1 on June 20th.
My Turn has been ruling the Billboard 200 ever since and eventually earned a fifth week at the top of the chart. Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding is the latest album to log five weeks at no. 1 back in November 2019, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Lil Baby managed to hold down the top spot for another week.
The hit single “The Bigger Picture” renewed interest in his music, despite the fact it wasn’t even featured on My Turn. It also helped his case that he didn’t have strong competition in other artists since the last few weeks have been slow on mainstream releases.

]]>My Turn came out on February 28th and became the rapper’s first number-one album in the US. Its deluxe version with six additional tracks came out on May 1st and helped the rapper soar to the top of the charts again.
Lil Baby’s success on the charts was aided by the fact that he didn’t have to compete with any major new releases. Lady Gaga’s latest album Chromatica took the no. 2 spot during its second week on the chart.
Lil Baby’s latest single “The Bigger Picture” is also a strong contender for an impressive debut at the Billboard Hot 100 next week. This powerful song was released to glowing reviews, but it wasn’t featured on his album My Turn.

]]>Lil Baby’s new LP soared to the top spot on the chart with 197,000 album-equivalent units sold since its release on February 28th. The young rapper previously reached no. 3 with his debut album Harder Than Ever, and made it to no. 2 with 2018 mixtape Street Gossip.
Lil Baby collaborated with a long list of other artists on this album, including Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, and Young Thug. My Turn also features the track titled “Catch the Sun”, previously featured on Queen & Slim soundtrack.
Lil Baby was in a pretty good company on the Billboard 200 chart this week, and he was closely followed by Bad Bunny, who earned the no. 2 spot. The Puerto Rican artist made history with his latest album YHLQMDLG, which became the highest-charting all-Spanish-language album ever featured on this chart.
