The stylish video directed by Mike Ho sees the duo delivering their lines in an animated ice-covered landscape. The backdrop switches once it’s time for Stallion to give us her verse, and we see the Grammy-winning rapper surrounded by hot lava while rocking a new outfit that perfectly fits this setting.
The “On Me” remix comes shortly after Stallion said she’s taking a musical hiatus and “recharging” to prepare for the next stage of her career. It’s safe to assume that the remix and music video was filmed before she made this announcement last week.
Even before the “Savage” rapper hopped on the remix, Lil Baby found significant success on the charts with this track. “On Me” was released on December 4th, with another song “Errbody”, and peaked at no. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Both songs are expected to be featured on his third studio album, the follow-up to the chart-topping record My Turn.
