Love Island aired five nights a week and it was renewed for a second season by CBS last August.

Season 2 of the U.S. Love Island was supposed to air on May 21, but due to the coronavirus production was put on hold. CBS announced that pre-production of the show has started and that it won’t take place on an island this year.

According to sources, the show is shooting at a Las Vegas hotel and production crew and contestants will be required to quarantine before shooting begins and they’ll be tested throughout production. To ensure social distancing, the crew members will work from pods.

CBS is hoping to air the second season of the show later this summer, which means that we’ll be getting two reality TV shows from the network in late summer—Big Brother also has a late summer premiere date.
