“Leave Before You Love Me” serves as the first release of 2021 for Jonas Brothers, but not for Marshmello. He already gave us a couple of epic collaborations, including “You” with Benny Blanco and Vance Joy and “Do You Believe” featuring Ali Gatie and Ty Dolla Sign.

“Leave Before You Love Me” was released shortly after Jonas Brothers announced their U.S. tour “Remember This”, named after their upcoming single. They delivered the first live performances of the song alongside Marshmello during a recent appearance at the Billboard Music Awards.

The Hannah Lux Davis-directed video shows Halsey dancing to the beat of “Be Kind” in an empty warehouse, before drifting off to a cherry blossom-filled wonderland. She dances her heart out in the colorful fantasy world while rocking long pink hair and an anime-inspired outfit.

To make the whole thing even more impressive, the entire video was filmed during the lockdown. Halsey did her own makeup, and learned the choreography over FaceTime, with the help of Dani Vitale and Scott Myrick.

“Be Kind” isn’t featured on her latest album Manic, and it’s unclear if Marshmello wants to include it on his next album. The song was originally released on May 1st and reached top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, but it’s safe to expect it will climb much higher thanks to this video.

The emotional clip for their hit song Happier opens with a little girl receiving the best birthday present any child could wish for – an adorable golden retriever called Mello. As the video progresses, we watch the little girl grow up into a teen played by Miranda Cosgrove.

She’s constantly being teased by her classmates, but all of her pain completely disappears once she goes back home to her beloved pet. Unfortunately, she’s forced to say goodbye to Mello after he gets ill and her family decides to put him down.

The four-minute video has a happy ending and it takes us 20 years into the future. The grown-up version of Cosgrove is shown gifting her daughter with the same birthday present she once received – a new pet, who’ll be by her side every step of the way.

Marshmello agreed to collaborate with Bastille on this song because he was blown away after reading the lyrics for the first time. He wanted music video to reflect them and capture the pain we all felt after losing somebody important, as the circle of life continues.
