]]>The first movie in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe features Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow.
Per the official description, in the film, Romanoff confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.
Despite several changes in film’s premieres due to the Coronavirus, the trailer confirms that Marvel is still going ahead with a May 1 domestic release.

]]>The 43-year-old actress is in negotiations to make her Marvel debut. Should Jolie star in Marvel Studios’ The Eternals, it will be her first foray into the realm of superhero features.
Zhao was attached to the project back in September. She will direct from a script by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. Set to produce is Marvel’s Kevin Feige.
Little is known of the plot and Jolie’s character. The story of The Eternals was created by Jack Kirby in 1976. It tells the story of a group of superpowered and near-immortal beings known as Eternals, created the Celestials genetically experimented on humans. There’s also a villainous outcome to these experiments — the Deviants.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plot includes a love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans.
Zhao’s directing credits include The Rider and Songs My Brothers Taught Me.
Jolie is currently working on Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, a sequel to the 2014 Maleficent, which grosses $758 million worldwide. The sequel is slated to premiere October 18.
