Birthday wishes have been sent from around the globe to Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor in honor of her first birthday and now we get to see just how much fun she had.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle confirmed that they were expecting a little sister for their son Archie during their infamous sit-down with Oprah Winfrey.

“To have any child, any one or any two, would have been amazing. But to have a boy and then a girl, what more could you ask for?” said Harry.

The little girl became the first member of the royal family to be born in California, giving her dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom. Her name was inspired by the nickname given to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who is fondly known as Lilibet to her family.

In honor of Lili marking her first turn around the sun, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a sweet photo of the precious toddler.

The picture shows the 1-year-old sitting on the grass in a baby blue dress during her birthday party at Frogmore Cottage. Clearly evident is Lilibet’s red hair, inherited from her royal father.

“It was such a privilege to celebrate the 1st birthday of Lilibet with my family and hers!” wrote photographer Misan Harriman who captured the lovely image. “Joy and face painting all around.”
