]]>The yet-to-be-titled film has Lohan playing a newly engaged hotel heiress who gets amnesia after a skiing accident and ends up being taken care of by a good-looking blue-collar lodge owner and his daughter days before Christmas.
Lohan rose to fame at the young age of 11 after starring in 1998’s Parent Trap. She then starred in Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, among many other 2000’s films. The actress withdrew from acting in the early 2010s after being harassed by the paparazzi and the media because of personal issues. She then moved abroad and lived in Europe and Dubai.
Since then, Lohan has been in a few projects including The Canyons, a West End production of Speed-the-Plow, Sick Note, and Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club.
The Netflix film begins production in November. The rest of the cast hasn’t been announced yet.
Janeen Damian will direct and it’s written by Damian, Michael Damian, Jeff Bonnett, and Ron Oliver. Producing it are Brad Krevoy and Michael Damian and executive producing are Amanda Phillips and Eric Jarboe.

Some highlights include Red Notice starring Gal Gadot, Dwayne Johnson, and Ryan Reynolds, The Harder They Fall with Regina King, Idris Elba, and Jonathan Majors, Amy Adams’ The Woman in The Window, Zach Snyder’s Army of the Dead; Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tick, Tick … Boom!; and Don’t Look Up starring Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ariana Grande, Timothee Chalamet, Kid Cudi, and Meryl Streep.
The top-rated franchises To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and The Kissing Booth are also on the list of 2021 projects and they’re set to wrap up after their third installment.

]]>The film follows screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz who’s in the process of finishing writing the script for Orson Welles’ iconic film. The alcoholic screenwriter, known for his social criticism, is played by Gary Oldman. Other cast members are Tom Burke as Orson Welles, Amanda Seyfried as Marion Davies, Charles Dance as William Randolph Hearst, Lily Collins as Rita Alexander, Tuppence Middleton as Sara Mankiewicz, and many more.
The movie is produced by Netflix, which is now giving us a first look at the movie—and it looks stunning. The streaming giant posted pictures of the movie on its twitter account. The pictures show highly stylized black and white pictures, which play to the director’s talent.
Howard Jack Fincher, the director’s father, wrote the script for Mank prior to his death in 2003, which makes it a passion project for Fincher. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are responsible for the movie’s score. The duo has previously worked with Fincher and won an Academy Award for The Social Network score. He also reunites with production designer Donald Graham Burt. Erik Messerschmidt, who worked with Fincher on the Netflix series Mindhunter, is the cinematographer.
Netflix is yet to confirm an official release date, but it’s expected to come out in October.

]]>A hard-fought Battle was raged between bidding companies which hoped to showcase Lin-Manuel Miranda’s new film.
Tick, Tick… Boom! is based on Jonathan Larson’s somewhat autobiographical musical of the same name. It follows an aspiring composer during 1990’s New York City who worries he has made the wrong career choice to be part of the performing arts.
Miranda, whose own background focuses heavily on musicals, will be helming the film which marks his directorial debut.
Sources say that Andrew Garfield is the top choice to play the lead character of Jon which is based on the Rent creator. The Silence star recently won a Tony Award for his role in Angels in America.
No word yet on when that bomb plans to go off on Netflix.
