It’s been a while since we’ve seen Lindsay Lohan on the big screen, and she’s set to return to acting in a Netflix Christmas romantic comedy.

The yet-to-be-titled film has Lohan playing a newly engaged hotel heiress who gets amnesia after a skiing accident and ends up being taken care of by a good-looking blue-collar lodge owner and his daughter days before Christmas.

Lohan rose to fame at the young age of 11 after starring in 1998’s Parent Trap. She then starred in Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, among many other 2000’s films. The actress withdrew from acting in the early 2010s after being harassed by the paparazzi and the media because of personal issues. She then moved abroad and lived in Europe and Dubai.

Since then, Lohan has been in a few projects including The Canyons, a West End production of Speed-the-Plow, Sick Note, and Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club.

The Netflix film begins production in November. The rest of the cast hasn’t been announced yet.

Janeen Damian will direct and it’s written by Damian, Michael Damian, Jeff Bonnett, and Ron Oliver. Producing it are Brad Krevoy and Michael Damian and executive producing are Amanda Phillips and Eric Jarboe.
