Multiple outlets report that Quibi has 16-episodes of the stand-up comedy series hosted and executive produced by Will Smith titled This Joka.

In the series, Smith invites a diverse lineup of up-and-coming, established, and legendary comedians —including Baron Vaughn, Megan Gailey, Punkie Johnson, Sean Patton, Rosebud Baker, Shane Torres, Clayton English, Christi Chiello, Vanessa Gonzalez, and others, to explore the nature of comedy. The series will showcase stand-up sets, as well as one-on-one conversations, intimate interviews, and docu-style moments. 

Quibi launches on April 6.

Survive stars Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner as Jane a young woman who leaves a group home for “the broken, the sad, and the suffering,” only to find herself fighting for her life after her plane crashes on a remote mountain. Paul, played by Corey Hawkins is the only other survivor and together they embark on a journey out of the wilderness, battling brutal conditions and personal traumas.

Quibi will offer mobile users quick-bite content in the form of daily 10 minute episodes. Quibi launches April 6.

In the clip for the partially unscripted comedy show, the incompetent officers are at roll call, jabbering about squirrels in vents and if they’re singing. Are the squirrels talking or are they singing?—you’ll have to decide for yourself. But, the rest of the squad thinks the lieutenant is losing it.

Reno 911! ran on Comedy Central from 2003-2009 and it parodied Cops, following the deputies at Reno’s Sheriff’s Department. In February it was announced that the main cast would be returning for a seventh season at Quibi.

Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Niecy Nash, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Cedric Yarbrough, Carlos Alazraqui, Ian Roberts, Joe Lo Truglio, and Mary Birdsong will reprise their roles in the Quibi shortform revival.

The new streaming platform launches on April 6 and no release date has been given for Reno 911!.

The short content platform has unveiled the first look of its “movie in chapters” starring Liam Hemsworth as the lead. 

Hemsworth stars as Dodge Maynard, a terminally ill man and father-to-be who’s desperate to provide for his pregnant wife before he succumbs to his illness.

Enter Oscar winner Christoph Waltz, who offers Hemsworth’s Dodge the chance to participate in a deadly game for a monetary reward.

“It’s a 24-hour game. Deposits increase every hour you survive,” Waltz explains in the teaser. “Trust no one, stay paranoid,” he adds.

Also starring in Most Dangerous Game are Sarah Gadon, Zach Cherry, Aaron Poole, Christopher Webster, Billy Burke, Natasha Bordizzo, and Jimmy Akingbola.

2020 just got bigger for the singer with the announcement that she’ll be fronting a new talk show for the short-form content platform. 

The news series Pillow Talk With Demi Lovato, see the Grammy winner have candid, unfiltered conversations with both expert and celebrity guests. The show is slated to explore topics such as activism, body positivity, sex, gender identity, relationships, social media, and wellness.

“I’ve always considered myself someone that speaks honestly about issues that face my generation,” said Lovato. “We’re excited to bring those frank conversations to a public forum, where people can have the opportunity to relate to the topics and guests while finding room for laughter and learning.”

Lovato will also executive produce the talk show.

The Little Women and Marriage Story star has been cast in Just One Drink, and will portray a bartended. According to Variety, “the show will be comprised of a series of one-act vignettes between said bartender and the customers she serves, all of whom are in various states of emotional disrepair.”

The series is penned by Oscar-nominated screenwriter and author Nick Hornby. Dern and Hornby will exec produce. 

Dern joins Big Little Lies co-star Reese Witherspoon, who was tapped to narrate the platform’s nature series Fierce Queens. 

Quibi, which will offer quick bite format content is set to launch April 6.
