Quibi has tapped Laura Dern to star in one of its series.
The Little Women and Marriage Story star has been cast in Just One Drink, and will portray a bartended. According to Variety, “the show will be comprised of a series of one-act vignettes between said bartender and the customers she serves, all of whom are in various states of emotional disrepair.”
The series is penned by Oscar-nominated screenwriter and author Nick Hornby. Dern and Hornby will exec produce.
Dern joins Big Little Lies co-star Reese Witherspoon, who was tapped to narrate the platform’s nature series Fierce Queens.
Quibi, which will offer quick bite format content is set to launch April 6.
