Reboot focuses on the dysfunctional cast of the fictional 2000s family sitcom Step Right Up. After the show that put them on the map is surprisingly rebooted, they must come back together to deal with their unresolved issues in today’s fast-changing world.

Reboot premiered on Hulu back in September to positive reviews, and its star-studded ensemble cast included Keegan-Michael Key, Johnny Knoxville, Judy Greer, Rachel Bloom, Calum Worthy, Krista Marie Yu, and Paul Reiser.

Reboot is Steve Levitan’s first show since Modern Family and he’s planning to find a new home for it, with another streamer reportedly expressing interest to read the script for Season 2. Levitan previously discussed the show’s future with Entrainment Weekly and admitted there’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding it.

“I think in season 2 we will get into the premiere of the show and all that goes into that… We’re awaiting our fate and starting to work on future things just in case, but everything that I just went through is stuff that they’re all about to go through,” he told Entrainment Weekly.

Season 2 of The Twilight Zone, the modern-day re-imagining of the original sci-fi anthology from Rod Sterling, was unveiled Monday, ahead of the show’s June 25 premiere on CBS All Access.

“The series’ second season uses introspection and self-exploration to usher viewers into a dimension filled with endless possibilities,” said the streamer, while keeping rather mum on all other details. 

Peele reprises his role as host. Hawaii Five-0 is coming to an end after ten seasons after 240 episodes.

The Suicide Squad writer-director James Gunn took to Twitter Friday and revealed the full cast for his upcoming reboot.

The 24 names that will make up the squad in the upcoming feature include Margot Robbie who will reprise her role as Harley Quinn in the new film, Viola Davis who returns as Squad mastermind Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney starring as Captain Boomerang, and Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag. 

And they will be joined by a slew of other actors including: Pete Davidson, John Cena, Taika Waititi, Idris Elba, and Nathan Fillion, David Dastmalchian, Sean Gunn, Daniela Melchior, Joaquín Cosio, Flula Borg, Mayling Ng, Storm Reid, Steve Agee, Alice Braga, Peter Capaldi, Juan Diego Botto, Julio Ruiz, Tinashe Kajese, Jennifer Holland, and Michael Rooker. 

But beware, not to get “too attached,” according to Gunn.

Disney+ is brining back Home Alone as well as other assets from its recent acquisition of the Fox library. This will include reboots of four franchise also including Night At the Museum, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Cheaper By the Dozen.

The announcement was made by Disney CEO Bob Iger Tuesday, who said that the new streaming service will be a reimagining of several kid-friendly titles for “a new generation” of youngsters. 

According to Iger, the decision to bring back these titles are part of the network’s “focused on leveraging Fox’s vast library of great titles to further enrich the content” on Disney+. 

According to Deadline, in its first year of operation, Disney+ will house more than 7,500 episodes of TV and 400 movies. The service is slated to launch November 12.

Another classic is getting the sequel treatment. Punky Brewster is the latest to make a comeback via Universal Content Productions.

The original, which ran for our seasons followed Punky, a bright young girl raised by a foster dad. The titular title was played by Soleil Moon Frye. Fyre is set to reprise the role that launched her into stardom. The sequel will follow Punky (Frye) who’s now a single mother of three trying to get her life back on track when she meets a young girl who reminds her a lot of her younger self.

The follow-up series is penned and executive produced by Steve and Jim Armogida (School of Rock, Grounded for Life). Frye will also executive produce alongside original series creator David W. Duclon. 

Punky Brewster joins other 1980s and 1990s sitcoms that made their return to the big screen including Boy Meets World, Full House, Will & Grace, and Roseanne.

The best-selling book series The Baby-Sitters Club is being adapted for television — again.

Netflix confirmed Thursday that it is working on a reboot of the beloved The Baby-Sitters Club based on Ann M. Martin’s book series. Martin will also serve as producer on the series.

“I’m amazed that there are so many passionate fans of The Baby-Sitters Club after all these years, and I’m honored to continue to hear from readers — now grown, who have become writers, editors, teachers, librarians, filmmakers — who say that they see a reflection of themselves in the characters of Kristy and her friends,” Martin, who will also be producing the new show said in a statement. “So I’m very excited about the forthcoming series on Netflix, which I hope will inspire a new generation of readers and leaders everywhere.” 

The streaming put in an order for a 10-episode live-action season. The series will follow the five best friends in Stoneybrook, Connecticut, who form a babysitting business. Episodes will explore topics such as racism, divorce, school, sibling rivalries and jealousy.

The reboot will be helmed by Rachel Shukert (Supergirl and GLOW writer).

The network has officially announced that it has ordered 10 episodes of a Party of Five reboot from original series creators Amy Lippman and Chris Keyser.

The new iteration will be a modern twist of on the original that followed the Salinger siblings as they navigated life after their parents were killed in an accident. This time around, the series will follow the Acosta siblings as they navigate life after their parents are deported to Mexico.

“Party of Five embodies the heart and soul of what it means to be a family in the most trying of times. We’re so lucky that Freeform gets to be the home for this reimagined story, as we continue to represent the resilience of young adults and the importance of fighting for your voice in times of doubt,” said Tom Ascheim, President of Freeform, in a statement. “We are thrilled to be able to share the groundbreaking storytelling from Amy and Chris with a new audience, and are excited for our viewers to discover the beauty of this series.”

The modern-day immigrant drama stars Brandon Larracuente, Emily Tosta, Niko Guardado, and Elle Paris as the four oldest Acosta siblings.

A modern take on the classic, the reboot will follow a similar format to the original that first aired as a set of specials in 1987. Netflix will develop 12 new episodes that “will focus on one mystery and once again will look to viewers to help aid investigators in closing the book on long outstanding cases.”

The true-crime docuseries has tapped original creators Terry Dunn Meurer and John Cosgrove. Meurer has been set as show runner while Cosgrove will serve as producer. Also on board are Stranger Things’, producersShawn Levy and Josh Barry, who will produce the reboot via their 21 Laps banner.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Netflix promises to “maintain the chilling feeling viewers loved about the original, while also telling the stories through the lens of a premium Netflix documentary series.”

The hit teen drama, Beverly Hills, 90210 is being shopped to networks. But that’s not all! According to Deadline, the reboot will see the return of original cast members including Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Jason Priestly, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, and Gabrielle Carteris. Noticeably missing from the list are Shannen Doherty and Luke Perry.

Rumors of a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot began circling when Spelling revealed that a reboot was in very early stages of development back in March. The original series aired between 1990-2000 on Fox and was created by Darren Star and produced by Aaron Spelling.

According to multiple outlets, fans should expect an “untraditional reboot,” as at the original 90210 cast will not actually reprise their original characters. The project from CBS TV Studios comes from Mike Chessler and Chris Alberghini, who also worked on the CW’s 90210 reboot. 90210 aired for five seasons and ended in 2013.
