It is likely the spark in Bundy’s sexiness rating had to do with a new biopic starring the rather attractive Zac Efron.
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and Netflix has now decided to add it to its bouquet.
The streaming service is believed to be paying $9 million for the film which will join its other Ted Bundy feature, the documentary series Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes.
Netflix is said to be delaying the Efron film for a fall release to afford him awards attention next year.
The decision comes on the back of Roma, Netflix’s first film nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars, which has been doing incredibly well on the awards circuit.

]]>the first trailer for this intriguing film sees Efron transforming into the infamous serial killer, who reportedly murdered at least 30 women. The upcoming biopic tells Bundy’s story from the viewpoint of his girlfriend, and that’s part of the reason why the young actor was attracted to this project.
“This movie was really about a human being, somebody that perhaps I would have been friends with. And a love story from a very unique perspective. I’ve never seen that before. It’s intriguing to me,” explained Efron.
Despite his fascination with the script, the former Disney star wanted to make sure this movie is not celebration nor glorification of Ted Bundy. He described it as
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 26, but the date of theatrical release is yet to be announced.

]]>The biopic already has Zac Efron portraying Ted Bundy, while the rest of the cast includes Lily Collins, John Malkovich, Jim Parsons, Haley Joel Osment, Angela Sarafyan, Jeffrey Donovan, Terry Kinney, Kaya Scodelario, and Dylan Baker.
The movie will be directed by Joe Berlinger, who already worked with Hetfield on the documentary Metallica: Some Kind of Monster and wrote a book about his time with the band titled Metallica: This Monster Lives.
“Having spent hundreds of hours behind the scenes with James and the rest of Metallica, I have experienced his charisma and powerful presence close up,” – said director Joe Berlinger in a statement. “It seemed only natural that he would bring that same power and magnetism to a dramatic role, so when he agreed to my pitch that he be in the movie, I was thrilled.”
The production for the Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile started in January 2018, but the release date for the movie has not been revealed yet. Unlike some previous movies about Ted Bundy, the story of this one will be shown from the perspective of his girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer (played by Lilly Collins).
