The 2020 feature penned and helmed by Nolan, stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh. It follows Washington’s secret agent as he manipulates the flow of time in the hopes of preventing another world war.
While most studios have opted to push all major tiled out of 2020 due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, Warner Bros. believed that Tenet will in fact make more money by launching in theaters rather than it would have if it had debuted on HBO Max.
Other Nolan films include Inception and Dunkirk.

“As we were finishing the musical sound of the film, one of Ludwig’s suggestions was to bring Travis Scott into the mix and show him the film and get his input. Travis watched the film and really connected with it and had a lot of very valuable insights about what we were trying to do,” said Nolan in a statement.

]]>The most recent change the movie had seen was its pulling out from the August release calendar by Warner Bros. now the studio announced Tenet will have an early international premiere in 70 countries on August 26. Then, on September 4, it will premiere in “select cities” in the U.S.
The movie will premiere first in countries such as Belgium, Germany, Denmark, the UK, and other European countries as well as Australia, Korea, Egypt, Thailand, Indonesia, and more. It will hit Canada a day before it will arrive in the U.S. on September 3.
By releasing the movie early abroad, Warner Bros. hopes to make the best of the situation in which many countries around the world see a relative decline of the pandemic, while many cities in the U.S. still struggle with the disease. This ,means that theaters remain closed in major markets such as New York and Los Angeles.

]]>Tenet was originally scheduled for a July 17 release, but it was unclear if theaters are going to re-open by that point. Nolan and Warner Bros. declined to make a decision for as long as they could but eventually decided to delay the film’s release.
Toby Emmerich, chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, described Tenet as “a global tentpole of jaw-dropping size, scope, and scale” and said they’re proud to bring it to theaters around the world.
Its July 17th spot is now reserved for the 10th-anniversary screening of Nolan’s film Inception, which will come with an extended sneak peek at Tenet. In addition to pushing this movie back by two weeks, Warner Bros. also delayed Wonder Woman 1984 from August 14th to October 2nd.
Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, and Kenneth Branagh, and it’s been described as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.”

]]>“Don’t try to understand it. Feel it,” as one of the characters said in the trailer. We’ll take that advice. Nolan’s follow-up to 2017’s Dunkirk will include John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, Dimple Kapadia, and Clémence Poésy.
Nolan is quite familiar with many of the members of the cast as he’s worked with a few of them before including Caine who was in eight films by Nolan, Branagh who was in Dunkirk, and Pattinson who’s in the new Batman and Nolan directed The Dark Knight trilogy.
Nolan told Entertainment Weekly that, “We’re jumping off from the point of view of an espionage film, but we’re going to a number of different places. We’re crossing a few different genres in a hopefully exciting and fresh way. We shot in seven countries, all over the place, with a massive cast and huge set pieces. There’s no question, it’s the most ambitious film we’ve made.”
This would explain the huge budget of $220 million, which is Nolan’s biggest budget to date.
Tenet is set to be released on July 17, 2020. You can check out the trailer below.

]]>Nolan discussed this action thriller in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly and promised it’s going to be his most ambitious film to date. “[Producer] Emma [Thomas] and I have put together a lot of large-scale productions, but this is certainly the biggest in terms of international reach. We shot in seven countries, all over the place, with a massive cast and huge set pieces.”
Nolan also revealed they’ll be crossing several different genres in this film, despite the fact it was initially described as “an action epic revolving around international espionage, time travel, and evolution.”
The first still doesn’t reveal much of the plot either, and it simply shows the leads Robert Pattinson and John David Washington hanging out together. Tenet will also star Kenneth Branagh, Elizabeth Debicki and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and it will hit the theaters on July 17th, 2020.
